Reds... I had a feeling this was my problem. I wish I had a render to show from my 1st trys. I just created an account on the above site. To busy now but I'm off to work soon. I'll give them a good look when I'm there. Thanks for your efforts! Thanks Again very much!!! Great Happy Holidays to you. Scott

I replaced the texture matts & the UM's most definetly shut off, no nodes showing in advance materials. However & this aint a big deal. Chosing her hip the sliders still show the settings? Common?
And one last thought...
I tryed adding bumps before activating UM and though I got no errors in Python I still got warning symbols showing in the basic amterials.
Once again I truely would like to give your tuts a good read & currently are much happier with my results.
Thanks Again!!

The product creators are here in the dugout, (so to speak). answering questions & giving advice.
Many Many thanks.
I have tryed to recreate the poor results from the above, (I cleaned up my file/folders yesterday & those got deleted), :(
My renders are coming out much better now.
My previous renders were not using the brightest light I got no other errors. Also I've been keeping my main lights in all scenes with a hint of red, thinking it will add more realism. I'm wondering if those might off been just a bit too red causing over blemishing. You say to pose lights to my happiness before adding the UM, not something I did the other day.
I really jumped into this without thinking about what I was doing and some other problems just over frustrated me.
My results now are very nice. Hopefully after the weekend I will get to the tuts in the above link.
Thankyou for a fine product & the feedback here!
I still haven't had time to check out your tutorial efforts in link above, blame it on the holidays.
I would like to give these a good read through before bothering you with unneeded questioning.
However...
I will. :>)
See next post.

Very Nice. I'm not far off but definetly need some work. It seems though what you used is different? Though the product mentions it as being a combination of other products. Maybe I'm only getting half of that? Your using Poser 5? The product is Poser 5? I should off added in my 1st post. I'm using Poser 6 & a Mac which the product in your link does not support. Story of my life. :) Hmmm Poser 6 gives the option of rendering the Poser4 way. Maybe I should try this? Thanks again. ScottThread: Unimesh Realism Kit Please Help. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
My render looks poor. If I had been putting her in a hospital bed, :>) it might work but I'm going for something a bit different. It took me a little while to finaly purchase this kit. From what I read It is great. I just opened that file I ran the kit on and there are no nodes showing. But they still show in her properties??? Yes "face_off" post, thanks thats the post I read earlyer. I'm doing something wrong. I know I must be missing something here. I'm currently trying to figure out another problem, when I'm "back on track" I will give the tuts a good through read. Many Thanks.

I got some weird random blocks in the mist during my first render.
I put a small rotate on it, that seemed to reduce it. I did have to stamp out a few in Photoshop.
Guess thats postwork hun? & I said I did none, Shhhhh!
But I do remember playing around with it's reflection a bit.
Where's that darn "Undo" button when you need it.
What I've learned in my life by complete & disastorous mistakes have gotten my gears turning many times before.
And turning I hear them doing again.
This is how you can create a mirror or lake reflection. ")
Hmmmmm! ")
No NO! Now!
I have to many chores today.
Ok maybe just an hour more. ")

Merci beaucoup! ") I'm pretty proud of it. And not complaining but... Whats with the hands reflection in the mist? I'll have to look into this. But that's that! I've given it my big red "Final" stamp. Thanks Again! Scott

Yes I 'ld be interested in seeing what you can do with it.
Perfection I've always thought, kinda corny though, is found only in the dictionary. Thought I do mostly try to acheive it.
So I've been working on this some more between some chores "(.
I've been trying to do the posing of lights myself since my start.
It kinda falls into my "why buy poses for a program called poser" thoery. ")
I did go to RDNA and downloaded some of there free light sets.
I tryed to follow the tutorials here about a lights properties. And after messing up my lights pretty badly I'm not so amazed at the properties of RDNA's lights. Thought some of them follow a tutorials recomendations some do not. From what I can tell the differences in properties when you have alot of lights makes the difference. The main lights seems to follow the ideas in tuts.
Anyway, don't know if I'm hooked yet on preset lights. But with possible MINOR tweaking to there properties color ect they save a bunch of time.")
I also have been looking into the advice above and it seems when I recreated the scene the 2nd time, Laura lost her tone.
Mostly I was adjusting my lights per Laura but was getting poor results on the other objects. So it was a trade off.
After adding professional lights & better tones the image really came to life.
I'm doing some more changes now, mostly redoing the Body Suit as I agree it's to Hot Roddish, I will repost it when it's done.
Thanks for your comments.
Greatly appreciated!
Love your work. Great suttle lights. Very nice keep em coming.

{Quote} Logansfury mkay, I dont think ive really put anything officially incredible in the galleries but heres what I see with my newbie eyes ;) I have to disagree. You've some very nice stuff. Thanks again. Scott

I do live for feedback, so many many thanks.
I agree the face is less then I wanted it to be.
Plastic is a great description.
It has no other textures other then the extra map textures from DAZ.
I can't tell you how many times I've adjusted her head to try and give her a better look.
Lighting I've always thought was the difference between good & Fantastic. I've learned alot, the tuts here are great but I still have some more studying & experimenting to do yet.
One thing I tryed to do is keep the light real.
So you've got the "sun" shining in from our right so then light from our left wouldn't make sense? Right??? I had stronger light on our left but coudn't get myself to keep it.
Adding lights from the Elven Village windows is an awesome idea!!!
Laura being my main eye point in the scene is kinda why the left is dark & blah. But it did turn out blaher then I wanted it. I think Photoshop can enhance this but not sure where to start.
The "Kong" size look was intentional.
I purposely put the branches close to give off that effect.
There are three sizes of charactors in the scene.
The "Hand" being the giant, who's kneeling. ")
Laura being the standard Faery size.
Steph & Pegasus very very tiny.
Having another two weeks to tweak I would redo Lauras suit.
Color changes in her suit went from outrageous to dull to what It is now. Somehow I started out with flames, this being my first complex texture & map I decided to just go with it.
And I just noticed a pose error in the body suit. Arhg!!!!
God I hate that. Nothings ever final is it? :)
Other then it not having that "stand out" appearence that I've seen in the gallery I am pretty happy with it.
Thanks again for the feedback.
Keep it coming. :>)

So if a scene is complex with lots of content making unseen objects or anatomy invisible would reduce process time. That makes sense. This is good to know. Thanks As for processing it all. It sure seems like it does it all. I had another thought... And if the above is true this probably is to. When I do an area render does it process all of the scene or just the stuff in the area I select? Awhile back in one of my first few scenes I put together, I wanted to see a final quality render & crunching for time I decided to only render 1/2 of the scene. I used the area render. Later, I area rendered the other half & guess what? When the second was done it retained the previous render & I didn't even have to merge the two. Certainly the actual rendering was quicker but it seemed like the process was quicker to. But maybe that was just an illusion. Today I tryed rendering a scene but it failed, telling me it was to big. I had it set at 600dpi I think around 1500 pixels & Final in Firefly. I then tryed to render only half and it to failed to. I ended up kicking down my pixel size and leaving all other settings the same. Which worked. Thanks for the feedback. Scott

I know a DXF is a file he can output. I'm waiting for feedback from him on other 3d formats he can output. Also he can output an object file, which is where we began. I had him make a simple XMas tree light and send me it as an obj. Now I think props or figures require more then a simple obj file to use it in Poser but I simply wanted to see if I could create a texture for it and go from there. I tryed opening it in that free UV mapper program but it gave me a bad facet error. I know there is more to this next bit then I tryed but I just wanted to see what would happen. I put the obj in a geometries folder of an empty runtime and loaded it into Poser. Of course it did not see it. I don't pretend to be an expert here. There is far more to creating useable files then I know. We haven't given up yet. I'm going to get a DXF from him & try that. If I can even get Poser to load it then I can export a obj and go from there. Many Thanks for the replys! I'll add my progress when I make some. Might be next week though. Thanks Again. Scott

Ambient & Gather. I'm getting a brain overload with all I'm learning. ") I will give this a try though thanks. Delete all objects? :>) :) ") Actualy not such a crazy idea. :>/ Multiple renders, then put em' back together in Photoshop. Thanks for the direction. Scott
