I've had MeganBurnett12 following me since Dec. 20, 2016 and ElizabethThomas5 since January 15, 2017. They are still showing even though I have reported it. Because of this, I don't trust buying anything from Renderosity until I know it has been fixed and the server is secure. Even though, Rendersoity has said they don't keep our credit cards on file, how do we know when we type our credit card information in to purchase something that some bot somewhere could be getting our information as we type it. I really hope this can be resolved soon so I can again buy from Renderosity. I'm concerned this can hurt the vendors, if people don't feel safe buying here.

I understand your fundamental concern about security, but I don't see how a fake account will cause the issue you are describing unless you follow the malicious link that they put on their profile home page. A bot or a user can both put up a malware link, and I don't know how any site can protect against that specifically. I am presuming that the files that get uploaded by a merchant are scanned (that would be an issue of worry) but the money transaction is internal to rendo - they push money to the vendor not the ccard processor iirc.

ReneJW, I hope that you take this in the spirit of helpfulness that I intended it. I agree that the spambot garbage has simply got to stop. It is not a huge security hole, but is a very, very public facing problem that make us all question all of the security and process that we can't see (card processing, etc.). (i.e. "if you can't stop spambots then what else aren't you stopping).

i am sort of new to the idea of the cross character morphs, and was going to ask if m4 could simply accept v4.2 face/body poses.

can i use poses from v4 or even d3 onto m4?

my own stupidity. found the templates in the textures folder right where they belong....

this finally happened to me as well. i saved the scene a couple of times and that seemed to shake things loose.

telling the system to reload the texture files did nothing.

honestly it seems fine in my hands. I don't use the pc for gaming but did toss on Battlefront 2 and such.
i had to turn off the yappy 'are you sure you want to run this' system. but overall it is pretty nice. 
i did just simply go out to bestb*y and pick up a preconfigured box, and then ripped a bunch of the free ware off it and added avast virus. 
things do seem to work just fine.

Having said this, it was a major hardware update (1-> 2 gb ram, athelon 2400+ to 2.4 ghz dual core, plus some nicer graphics card) and this was a box certified to run with vista home or whatever. 

I will say for the first time I actually have been able to edit 90 minute movies (Pinnacle studio 10.x) and do cloth simulations and not have to wait for an entire weekend so the new hardware is very nice at least and seems to handle my two main applications.

I am wondering if one can just walk into a store and ask them to do a practical demo and slap down the poser disk...  :D

I hope that is not the case (but i do agree on your statement about MILL though).

I have poser (7) up and running pretty darn slick on vista64 home(?). This is a new HP since my machine was 5 years old and totally slow for most things it was time to bite the $800 bullet and just get the new machine. 

The biggest problem i ran into was using the "settings transfer utility" that was bad and locked up a bunch of files that poser used. the folks at e-frontiers were quick about trying to help me out and even though i found the problem (for me) was a botched settings transfer poser did install (I turnd off the protectin manager that challenges ever stinking thing and things run quickly).

i hope that i am not the outlier here (with a vista working well) and i do NOT discount your experience with VISTA. E-frontiers may be able to lend a hand on this though.

got my great new figure from anton with both IE and firefox.
The only trouble I had is that i can't use the installer in content tab because of the password. 
So I have to actually LEARN how to use poser all over again (the learning curve was mentioned loud and clear in other posts), any tutorials for the unwashed?

take a look at steve jackson games (sjgames.com) GURPS MAGIC book. it has really incredibly BAD poser work - i mean really bad m2 stuff with some photoshop pastels filters.

i worked for an ebook (self publish press thing) and i was really really new to poser and i am not proud. but the back and fouth plus the need to purchase some particular products (no not THAT kind of hat! one with exta points) was a bit annoying....
i would go $90 ;)
