Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 25 9:50 pm)
I've seen it had an option to save as .swf in the animation file formats but when I tried it in Poser 5 it didn't work out so well since I couldn't read the swf. I have done the render to .jpg each frame and import them 1 by 1 and it works pretty good.

Haven't tried it but you might look at SWFTools which is supposed to have jpg2swf and avi2swf capabilities. Not a direct option but possibly useful."Democracy is a pathetic belief in the collective wisdom of individual ignorance." - H. L. Mencken

Reading the thread at the above link may help.Attached Link: Flash poser
heres one shot at it. black and white only at this time. Look for the index like called inkcmdinfocentral-- The inkcmd feature is not in the manual. The reference page is all there is. The idea is to use poser to produce a series of obj files, then create a batch file that calls the inkcmd exe for each obj file, and turn it into an *.ai file. Flash then will recognize these as a sequence and pull them in. That's how I did the animations that you see on the page.

When I export Poser to Flash (because to publish on the web) I get a crappy cartoon like figure. Surely Poser-to-Flash works better than that --- or else what's the use of exporting to Flash anyway --- I am stuck using all Macintosh software and hardware --- can't afford to start over with .obj system. What do you think I should do other than 'dump this thread and search' ?

Save to AVI and convert to SWF using SwishVideo. You'll find an example of one I did on my www.lostin3d.com Opening Page. Thanks, you are very helpful and I tried what you said and it worked ! I am now trying to convert .obj files to files I can open in any of the programs that broke me to buy viz. photoshop, illustrator, strata cx, fireworks, text edit, note pad, gif maker, flash, --- what's the deal with .obj files --- how can I learn more about converting files back and forth? I really like Poser and want to become agile with it and nimble. Thanks again for your helpfulness.
