Description

Travel ton Tibet was a children´s dream, especially when one read all e books of l´explorer Alexandra David-Neel. But it is necessary to accept all the conditions imposed by Chinese occupant. I feel hardily divided, it´s like making tourism in a prisioner´s camp. In the past, we see the Potala, the palace of Dalais LAMA´s, by far. Today is necessary to cross a long zone of barrackments and horrible constructions for finally seeing it. The historical center of Lassa is gradually destroyed. In front of the palate there was a splendid lake which reflected its beauty. Today, there is a giant square, in the style of place Tien Amen. The militars, the police force and the cameras of monitoring are everywhere. To have this sight of Potala, it is necessary to go up on the roof of Jokang Temple and to take this view, removing all it is horrible of the image… PS- I am a simple photographer, but want learn a little of Digital Art. What of differents softwares (Photoshop, Terragen, Brice, VUE …) can to transform it and give more impact? What you sugest? Thank you has all your interest and your wonderful comments!

Wonderful image. Visit Tibet is a big dream of me. I read a lot about the story from Tibet and how they are torture by the Chinese. Sad that no one of the big and rich country's care about the destiny from the people there. For postworking photos i would suggest you Photoshop or the cheaper version Paint shop pro from Corel.Paint shop pro is i think not such a big different to PS. Only the price. LOL Bryce and Vue are great for landscapes or Terragen. If you wish to make your own 3D Terrains. DAZ studio ( free) is like Poser. It is a great software too and i think wonderful to learn the world of 3D. Available with a lot of contents at http://www.daz3d.com/i.x/software/studio/-/? for free. :)

Beautiful Palace, I am glad you climbed onto the roof so as not to show the army, police and camera's, they would spoil this lovely place. Excellent subject and narrative! Bravo!!!!! I use PSP X by Corel they are doing a deal for the new PSP X2 at the moment see:- http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite/uk/en/Product/1184951547051 for more detail.

Fantastic capture! There are not enough pictures of Potala Palace on the web, at least not this quality! I would love to see more images from the capital of Tibet done by you! For a photographer, these days, Photoshop is a must, IMHO! :)

There are two views of this home. One is the occupant's view and the other the view of the builder. I have never been able even to buy something until first I have built a shabby sketch of what is to be. My father, a few years ago searched every where for a book "My Tibet" You know what he was looking for. My own view was of a Komatsu front end loader and a scoop of dirt when all the real front end loaders were John Deere.

Beautiful shot! I see people are already giving advice for software so I will only say if for manipulating photo images Photoshop is the top program for it, as for 3D the others will explain :) But I don't think your images need any extra help.
