Hey, coming along great S. New trial--I went to Photopaint and opened Eyecandy and did the 'weave' in b/w, resampled it to quite small, then used it for 'fill' in a 1000 x 1000. Used that as bump, used the noise on gold for tex--tried with and without reflection map. You are probably going to have to make a small grid--VERY small--then make it a seamless tile and large enough to cover the template (otherwise you will get 'stretch' marks). I found with some of these dresses--if you aren't going to be looking at the back and the side seams are more important to be 'smooth'-- that cylindrical mapping works better. Then, of course, you have to deal with the seam down the back unless you are very meticulous about getting the seams to match. Hmmm--just thinking out loud and looking at your post again--probably the different sized map affected the sizing--you will most likely have to actually make a tex map with the size you want 'where' you want it. What's someone called maclean doing in Italy?? S Sounds like a wonderful life though. Diane B/picnic
Hey, diane. Still at it, I see. You're tenacious! I don't have Eyecandy, but I'm sure there's something in Photoshop I can use. Yeah, I need a really small grid: Just have to multiply a map and re-sample it down to size, I guess. The formal's a much bigger map to cover. I want to get it right because if I post it, someone will look at the sides anyway. Might manage it in the next day or two. PS Someone called maclean is in the Italian Alps at 6,000ft because he couldn't take Milan any longer! Came here from Scotland years ago and like it too much to leave. Did fashion and music photography, and am now doing web design (that way I don't have to get off my ss!) Hey, if you like fashion, check out my site (free plug!) http://www.infinito.it/utenti/maclean You might like it. Anyway, someone called maclean is going to bed now! It's 2am here! Goodnight...and thanks maclean (jimmi)
gkad you like the pics, diane. Some things on the site are a bit sucky, but it was my first, and I can't be bothered re-doing it. Too much other work. Made a new refl. map and new bumps, and the lamdress looks more like what I want. Am currently trying out tex. maps to put creases in it. It should all be done in a day. Then I need to firure out how to post. Ciao maclean
