I dont know about Blender, but if Blender supported by collada plugins , you should with easy load any items from DAZ Studio to Blender . Im using Max and this plugins sucsessful imported figures , skeleton weightmap and morph too , even animation
Try this link colladablender.illusoft.com/cms/ or check in http://www.feelingsoftware.com/ ( you should register first) , maybe they have blender versions ( i`ve got free Max version from this site )
I hope this reply help u
If you import the model into Blender using .obj format they will lose all rigging (posing ability). Furthermore they won't have any of their morphs. The collada format is an attempt at creating a universal import/export function that can maintain rigging, morphing, et al between 3D apps. But Poser rigging is so different from any other used that it doesn't convert well. DAZ sells Carrara (spelling?) that is supposed to be able use Poser content, but from what other have said in several forums, it doesn't seem to work at the moment. Your best options are either learn Puppeteer as already been suggested, or consider getting Poser.

Sorry i dont have armaseda hair so i cant figure it out what make hair doesn
t show up .
No need to put bones on figures ( except you want different rig system ) because colada format had already bring it . If you`ve animate in Poser or DAZ it should loaded too .
BTW in 3dsmax you can fix or add animate with rotate or move those bones and maybe some modifier ..
maybe it looks very limited for you , but i think this easy ( and free ..? ) way to bring poser figures to 3ds max with entirely bone system and weightmap
If you want different rigging sytem or you not satisfied with poser type rig you can manually adjust . But remember its not simple and easy way .
Using biped had same issues too . I dont recommended change any bones thing unless you had good or excellent knowledge about rig system , skinning , IK or envelopes in 3dmax
Look at this attachment , had you already check it ?
I dont know about Max 9 issues , but ive read in somewhere ( sorry i
m forget where ) . Max 9 have different animation method from Max 7. Maybe it cause you couldn`t import animation from DAZ . You can visit and ask 3dsMax forum for sure or maybe ask people at DAZ
Thanks
