This is about the most I've been able to do in the physics room. Doing that for clothing has some potential, but I'm a long way from getting that right.

LOL Yeah V4 will work with dynamics. You have to add a constraint or she (or any other figure) will just melt. Here's a direct link to the video tutorial ...

Soft body against soft body is extremely challenging. Remember bullet is a GAME physics engine. Jiggly junk is definitely possible. But remember you'll have to pair this with dynamic cloth. Getting an identcal simulation projected into clothing is not likely.

I am working on more tutorials that will cover more advanced physics simulations. Here's a teaser. I'm working on the tutorial explaing how to do this now:

Maybe. I'm still learning this thing ... we all are. I know soft body against soft body is really touchy. But if you really think about it most of the time it's more likely you can setup one figure as choreographed (that rigid) and the other as soft.

It get wonky because the soft sim does a lot of guessing about where things are and are going to be. When the two soft bodies begint to collide It has trouble figuring out where bothe of them are going to go. Sometimes things just explode.

It seems like it would be logical to add the ability to extend the softbody deformations to another actor or figure.  Should be able to work more or less like transferring morphs.  Obviously I don't know what I'm talking about, not being one of the programmers or testers.   But vertex deformations are, ultimately, vertex deformations, whether dynamic or otherwise.  I hope the Poser team considers using their amazing (! :woot:) new vertex correlation methods to help copy dynamics between a figure and its garments.

Can the dynamics be set as morphs, as with cloth dynamics?  😕

I like the melty Vicky.   Best use of a Vicky I've seen in some time.  :thumbupboth:

Cage can be an opinionated jerk who posts without thinking.  He apologizes for this.  He's honestly not trying to be a turkeyhead.

Cage had some freebies, compatible with Poser 11 and below.  His Python scripts were saved at archive.org, along with the rest of the Morphography site, where they were hosted.

Trask ( ) posted Tue, 21 May 2013 at 10:17 PM

Hmm.  Need a better way to simulate volumetric mass.  Something under the skin.

Ideally a hard skeleton with softer muscle/fat tissue that the outerskin is being influenced by. Then you could also simulate muscle bending.

Without needing a bunch of joint controlled morphs that cant account for collisions and getting pressed on by external geometry.

Doesn't look like it would be easy to recreate something like this for example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qXBnRehSCYI

primorge ( ) posted Tue, 21 May 2013 at 10:26 PM

That image of v4 melting through the floor is one of the most unintentionally interesting Poser images to have crossed my eyeballs in a while, save that. Reminds of one time when RagTopJohnny somehow messed up the vertex order of M4 and ended up with a morph that would be impossible to create otherwise. Definitely "outside of the box".

I haven't played with the Poser Physics engine much but I think you can set the internal pressure to simulate the skeleton/muscle density.
