Another way that I quite often used which depended on the quality of the trans map in poser was to convert it to png and then create an RGBA image in photoshop from it and use the use the alpha channel. I'm not sure why but this always seemed to give me a bit better control.

Called FSpy from the creator of the old Blam addon. And it works quite well so far still testing it, only in 2.8 Beta myself so far, which has a couple of alignment issues that are easily fixed. The 2.79 addon is supposed to work pretty flawlessly though. There is a very good series of tutes by Chip Waters on using the software and implementing it into blender which are very easy to follow and understand. That can be downloaded from gumroad for free.

will have to find my list as I have a lot listed somewhere.

Will still probably bake all the textures I've got up there as references and to run through Quixel. As there are 8 different ones atm, which is plenty lol.

Thanks Boni They were just 2 rust textures and a paint texture from textures dot com which are fairly low quality. Was originally doing this to bake my own textures but got side tracked instead.

Horses for courses really either you will get a feeling and gel with a piece of software or you wont. Sometimes it can be at a cost Like Robynsveil discovered. Suppose why its always good to have a demo version or free for 30 days type thing. Wish I had a dollar for all the software I've tried out and removed lol. And then there are changes Like Miss B said, I hated Blender in its earlier incantations, thought it was a total piece of (insert expletive). But many years later gave it another go and love it like an addiction. And the transition to 2.8 has been way easier than I thought it would be. And their will always be people who will find a reason to not like something simply because of my first sentence here.

Hi Robo2010 Tried with quite a few different hdri/exr etc and could not reproduce what you are getting. The only issues I have had is with blurring and focus on lower res images. I'm using a build that's about 3 or 4 days old. I do sometimes when not in the camera view get a washed out hdri background in eevee but by rotating with the middle mouse it corrects itself. What happens if you load the image into a blank scene with just the default cube in it? Are you in camera view? Not that it would make a difference. And where did you get the image from?

And so as not to digress off topic too much I just had a good look at ZR's hot key PDF and its layed out very well exceptionally easy to read and understand. And leaps and bounds above and better than the other 2 I have ever seen, so well worth the download. And sculpting one although 2.79 is still relevant to 2.8. And I actually love to sculpt thing is I absolutely suck at it lol.

The more I do with the new UI the better I like it. Finding things was the worst part at first and I do miss my old set up on the tools menu but am getting accustomed to bring up the pie menus and and such. And the changes to some of the hot keys didn't bother me that much as my most common ones still all appeared to be the same "almost". And I agree it will coax a lot to probably give it another try, as well as some conversions from other software. My 3 year licence on Maya (student) ends soon so that will be gone when that happens as I don't see the need to keep it. So more time to spend with Blender. Which in my view the more time spent with it the more understanding of it you have.

If anyone is interested in sculpting another one to look at whom I think is very good and explains himself very well in YanSculpts on Utube also offers paid and free courses etc and explain how to set up a tablet to work properly in Blender as well. As Miss B said that her course will be getting an update to 2.8 I would think that Udemy would do that for a lot of their courses. Have heard rumours ( taken with a grain of salt) that quite a few will update courses to it in the belief that there will be an influx of sorts of new users to Blender.

Still got issues with the elbows and trying to cover modesty. No prizes for guessing who they are.

Base textures just pulled straight out of poser no subsurf or extra nodes added at all. and the hair is old Audry by Swarm and Quarkers radiant Jaguar just imported straight into blender Incantrix

A link would probably be a very good thing. Personally though the only issues I have ever had was with rigging when exporting to Blender from Poser ( Posette was by the simplest of the base models I found) although a long time ago now, I've only opened Poser like 3 times in the last 18 months. Did have a render somewhere of 12 different poser girls with their base poser textures in the one image may be time to do another lol.
