Thread: Can you get me sweaty?? Clarissa. | Forum: Bryce
clarissa I am sorry my info seems useless to you. I am going to create a new thread that will show a very basic version of how this works. If you are still interested I can email you the actual bryce file so you can pick it apart. I would like to help?

I have it on the same drive as poser and it still doesn't work. Do I need to download it into a specific folder for example a folder inside of poser?

If you want to create the sweat yourself you would first go to an image editing program, make an alpha channel of the water beads using a poser figures uv template.(keep in mind the white areas are affected) When you import your poser model into bryce go into the material editor and load your alpha channel as component "B" then assign this component to the specularity channel. mess with numerical input to get different levels of specularity.(wetness)p.s. You may want to ungruop the poser model and regroup and create families for the hair/eyebrows, figure, and clothes seperately, this will allow you to easily place your created textures on each individual group. Hope this helps also.

Thanks for the replies, they describe what I thought the answer was. I just wanted to make sure. ya know? I'll have to experiment with that "morph squeeze" utility. Will "morph squeeze" totally reformat the file or will I have to go into and rewrite some txt of the cr2?
Thread: looking for ideas | Forum: Bryce
Here's an idea. Try creating a 2d vertical face with a solid black material slightly transparant and highly refractive. Stretch or scale this face to cover the background and then position surface visible lights behind it and edit the elements of the light to get what you're looking for. I think this might help you achieve what you're after.

I'd love to help but I'm working on a large logo project and only have access to one PC. I'll let you know if I get some free time.

This would definately be very useful to understand. I would be very interested in a tutorial. If you post it I'm sure a lot of people would download it. Go for it!
Thread: Cave suggestions | Forum: Bryce
I do it a little differently. I create six terrains each with varying height maps. I try to create realistic stalagtite and stalagmite terrains for the top and bottom and then realistic terrains that are more bumpy and curved for the walls. I use lots of dim radial lights with different colors to create atmosphere. Then if you need an opening just subtract a lattice from one of the terrain walls. I find that this works real well. I suggest creating a unique material to match your cave style.

Go to the material editor assign a texture to the diffuse and ambience in the "A" channel. Then in your texture component window click the "P" button to turn it into a 2d texture. Next click on the pink button above the "P" button to display your pictures library. Look for a small downward arrow next to the pictures click on this and then you can load your photoshop plugins.
Thread: poser .obj files open corrupt in crossroads | Forum: Poser Technical
Love2all,and Lemurtek, Thanks for the info. The answer to your question about why I would want to export dxf's is. I have a program called Blender that is a complete modeling and rendering program. Great freeware program but it will not export .obj files. I want to be able to create morph targets and some clothing and props for poser. But from what I understand these morph targets have to be .obj files that share the same vertex's as their original .obj file. I'm not sure if you can use the exported .dxf's from poser to create morph targets. Is this possible? Michael.

Lobo uk and bloodsong, Thanks for the critiques can alway's use constructive criticism I was trying to capture the idea that she was using the shade to shield her eyes from the sun. I'm sure Lobouk's advice on posing with props in poser first will be well used. In answer to your question, no I haven't done any post compositing except for applying my name and title. The blandness was caused by using volumetric world. I have another version of this drawing with no volumetric world. The colors are a lot better and I edited her upper thigh where it looked somewhat detached.I hope to post a gallery soon.
