ok, I'm callin it... The logic used in the referenced threads and in the statements by this representative of rosity are absolutely true. I can tell becuase, ultimately, they make no reasonable sense whatsoever, and have the spin of unadulterated bullshit in them. Yeah, I'll vote to give that feature back. I'll also say that rather than complaining to normally deaf ears, I'm doing something about my particular feelings about this.

Thread: Anybody like the new forum? | Forum: Community Center
Quote - "These forums were written from the ground up without the use of even so much as one line of code from another forum such as phpBB. i figured as much; you guys know about copyright and giving credit. people say the dumbest things sometimes. i am curious as to why you wrote it from scratch though, since there are some excellent open-source boards around."
They wrote it from scratch because most of the decent OS boards out there are GPL'd, meaning they couldn't sell the software, which is what Bondware does -- they sell software and hosting services. Since they charge for the software, hosting, and the service, they are not interested in giving away anything, which the GPL would require. Renderosity is the beta testing pit for them. Has been forever, which is something a lot of people forget. You are the unwitting testers for a software product that is sold off to others who have no clue. Pretty sucky, huh?

Thread: All Merchants - Can we have a Morph Clothing Standard for V3 & SP3 Please? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Lightwave has an exceptionally wonderful way of handling morphs that allows them to essentially be dynamically stored and generated. I've never seen anything like it in any other app, although its likely that Modo has similar capabilites and I wouldn't be surprised if Hexagon 2 comes out with them (cross pollination of programmers). Because of that unique method for handling morph targets, Lightwave is an incredible tool for creating poser stuff. However, it is exceptionally expensive, and I despise the interface.

Thread: moving morphs to clothing | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Get one set, see how it's set up, and then create magnet sets for posette. Then use the script to add the morphs.

Thread: is clother worth buying? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I strongly dislike Clother. It does not provide for proper lighting (shadows set up in it are fixed and will not change). It does not have the capability of matching precisely the texture size in use -- becuase it either enlarges or shrinks the png overlays it uses to the texture map, or vice versa This creates distortion in the map and artifacts in the textures. Because it is a second skin, you will always have navels in bellys and points on high -- which looks rather silly and detracts from the final image. It fails, utterly, to take advantage of any of the advanced material room properties. In general, if all you want to do is get something that seems cheap and can let you slap something on your characters so they don't look naked, it will suffice. It does do an excellent job on things like underwear, for example. But Jeans with a t shirt? No. Clother is, imo, a waste of money. But that is strictly my opinion. It does exactly what it is said to do, but the imagery that accompanies it is typically highly misleading -- especially to newer users of Poser.

here ya go. You don't *move* morphs into clothing. You *create* morphs for clothing. When people talk about moving morphs into clothing, they typically don't realize what they are actually talking about. The link above will take you to a great way to get started in adding the basic morphs. Using the toolkits there, you can then tweak the basics and create morphs that will match anything ya want.thou and I, my friend, can, in the most flunkey world, make, each of us, one non-flunkey, one hero, if we like: that will be two heroes to begin with. Thread: All Merchants - Can we have a Morph Clothing Standard for V3 & SP3 Please? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I'm going to say "ditto" to everything Xena said. Yeah, everything, lol. The one catch with me, personally, is that I don't generally make clothing for V3, focusing instead on the other figures such as Aiko and Laura and Hiro and Luke (my faves of the moment).

actually, that particular type of comment pretty much goes directly against te specific instructions given when one makes a comment in the galleries here. Stuff like that isn't particularly useful or constructive and, imo, is essentially against the spirit of the TOS. And yeah, you can whine. Hell -- it's obvious the poster of those comments is...

Thread: Sexism?... | Forum: Community Center
Sexism is most noticeable here, in particular. There are, however, plenty of other sites where it is less prevalent, and there is an assortment of clothing for the males. However, yes, there is a marked lack of clothing for them, and a very strong demand -- particularly for the kids, anime people, David, and the Freak.
