I'm not sure what you mean by "network rendering" but if you mean using both box's at once to work on a project..not that I am aware of. You can install on both box's and move back and forth with no problem. I do this also because my slower box is for rendering when I dont want to use up my building box. Hope that helps.

You might try the reinstall. I believe if you dont do the remove before you do the install it will save anything you have imported, so that will save you that work.. I will try it out when I get home tonight and see if I can duplicate the problem and figure an out for it.

I am at work when I am answering this, but something that comes to mind is maybe using the "select all" and then group the whole thing and see then. Just an idea.
Thread: Wanna make it a poster? | Forum: Bryce
Are you offering it on gloss paper so it looks more like photo quality? If not how much more for that, because I am in the process of renedering a picture to print in poster size.

Man the whole tone of the image shure has changed, great job on the follow up image. The boat is a great touch! The light looks a lot better, and the ray seems more defined. I agree that the slope of the roof seems a little sloped towards the ground. Great job

Ok heres my $.02. The light looks pretty good, but needs to be thinner at top part touching the lighthouse, and raised up just a little, looks like its coming out to low. Also you might add a bridge or walkway of some sort to get to the lighthouse. Also the texture on the lighthouse looks a lot like the texture on the ground, I would use maybe something more looking like stone, rock, or even a wood like texture. Finally darken the overall picture a little and add some fog in. Overall the picture looks good.. Hope that helps.

I agree both ways with the statements above, the only thing I think is missing is maybe a more ominious sky, darker, more gothic, something like that.. I love the tree to the side looks very very good..probably one of the most believable ones I have ever seen. Geat job!!

Thread: WIP, need more feedback! | Forum: Bryce
Heres a little input for what its worth. It seems to me that the water in the back is running right upto the edge of the bed..almost onto the top of it.. If that is the effect you wanted then its working if not I am not sure what you want to add to break it but something needs to devide it. Hope that helps a little

Thread: bryce books | Forum: Bryce
I have that book and think its awesome. I dont think its a good book for beginners, I found it a bit confusing in some parts and left you to find your own buttons and how to do what they asummed you know how to do (ie..Bolleans, tells you to group them, after selecting 2 or more objects?? How do you select 2 or more objects?.. I found it but they could have told me.. page 276 or somewhere near there). I feel a much better book for beginners is Bryce F/X and Design by R. Shamms Mortier (ibn 1576104826) , it is based more on projects then just info. For me projects are easier to learn from then just a bunch of info. Both book are great in there own right, but for learning the one I mentioned helped me out the most when I was just starting. Hope that helps you also.

Along that line but little different... Maybe a little more rugged, or something.. Thanks for the idea.
Thread: my first pic in bryce | Forum: Bryce
All in all not a bad first attempt, I remember mine (laugh). I think you need to add some moutains in the background a little farther back to give some depth perception, reduce the haze factor just a little, and add some clouds or something to the sky. Maybe also add some rocks, foliage, stumps, things like that to give a little more activity in the scene.. Good job and keep trying practice makes perfect, if there is such a thing in 3D.

You might try installing the latest DirectX drivers or reinstalling them. The error is related to 3d/opengl mode of the card. Hope that helps. This site uses cookies to deliver the best experience.
