Okay Ede, You've got to stop this. I have things to do, I just can sit here all day and stare at this lovely creature - not that I am complaining mind you! Beautiful job. Rob

Thread: Putting Backrounds into Poser animation | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
If I understand what you are saying correctly you want to import a single (non animated)avi frame into Poser to use as a background image (say from frame 1 to 100) If that is what you mean, then this is simply the same as inserting a single jpg or tif frame into Poser as a background image. I am not sure why you want to do it this way as it would be easiest to convert the single avi frame into a jpg image first and then use file/ import/ background picture from the menu dropdown in Poser. However, if you want (or need) to do this in Poser using the avi file, try this. Import the avi file using file/import/avi footage. Then select file/export/image and save the avi file (convert it) to a jpg file. Next go to Display/clear background Picture and then finally go back to file/import/background picture and import the jpg image you just made of the avi frame as a background picture. The image will now show up as a fixed background on every consecutive frame. Hope that helps. Rob

Thread: Nostril Light | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Here is something top try, and works - most of the time. Take two ball props and resize, color and add texture, and bump maps to them, close to the shading you want. Then use the transparancy settings to make them simi transparent and stick them up in the nostral opening on the figures. If that doesn't work, color the balls orange, stretch them out to look like carrots and.... Well, it usually gets some kind of reaction at parties! Cheers, Rob

Thanks Allerleirauh, Got one you would like to share? I've have been going through, trying just about everything I can find, on my hard drive, that might work - even as I type - but nothing yet! The best I have done thus far is rough up the surface a bit more with a bump map. Many thanks for the comment. Rob
Thread: Thanks John West! Galadrial dress WIP | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Shadownet jumps up and down, waving his hand. The gown is near perfect and would do Galadrial proud! Now the test ahead of you will be getting the Lady of Wood as stunning - so that she belongs in it! And don't forget the gleam of the ring on her finger (atleast I take this pose as reflecting her "appearance" in the garden with Frodo - other wise tone down the clawed fingers.) I'd say work on the texture for her and keep the general pose for she kind of has that both Beautiful and Terrible look, the way Frodo saw her suddenly transform. Now I really can't wait for the movie to come out - I just hope they can represent the characters half as well as you have! Rob

Thanks guys, PhilC, I've seen a lot of your work and know how good it is so a complement from you can make a guy's head swell. Hopefully not too big. Paul, I've only seen your, Ghost Buster, but based on that alone, I'd have to say ditto! What a great image. I really like the detail of the poser dude-priest. As for moving the curtain further in, I'll do it and see what happens. You have given me a lot of great help and advice - dating way back to when I posted the early version of this image - and have never steered me wrong. So your opinion to me is as valuable as some other folks facts. Rob

What I started to say before I interrupted my self was that the curtain is the cloth prop from free stuff with PhilC rainbow texture. The rest of the image was credited elsewhere.
