Thread: Spike is finished and needs a Home! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
You can host whatever you want at http://www.vrpro.net/cgi-bin/psupload.html it's got a 500k limit per upload...and you have to PAY ATTENTION to the confirmation message to get your download path. you can also mail it to me at webmaster@changestorm.com and i'll put it up in my freestuff section, http://www.vrhome.com/mediaphiles/page9.html if you have any problems, just let me know.

I use the free ones you did heavily; I would without doubt buy these, especially if they are poser ready.

That's a REALLY cool idea! I'm not planning on going V3 though; will a V1/2 version be available? Or is that even a issue?

Jeez. Come on, you are ruining my world picture of stuck up mac types. The filenames thing is no big deal...I have a built in MS-DOS 2.11 filter in my head that keeps me from naming things over 8 characters long without extreme difficulty. And the mention of MartainC's Mac Convertor handles everything else, I guess...Thread: P5 Firefly Rendering and dual processor systems | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I'll disagree a little.
If you are running a multiprocessor enabled operating system, you will get a performance boost, but only because the you would essentially be running Poser on a dedicated CPU; the other CPU would be running your OS, GUI, filesharing, memory management, etc.
In my own limited tests in this arena I noticed about a 2-9% increase in power, with bigger scenes getting the most boost.

Post the following info, and I can pretty much guarantee you'll get help: Operating system Processor version of poser
Thread: Pending status... | Forum: MarketPlace Showcase
Ooops. I had remembered reading in the virtual tavern that it usually takes 2-3 days to get out of pending; I just read in the fine print in submission that it can 7 days. My Bad, IOW.
Thread: Pending status... | Forum: MarketPlace Showcase
OK, sounds like a plan! However, this is my first submission to the marketplace, and I think you have to have something in the marketplace to be able to get to the merchant's forum, which I can't do because my item has been pending since the 12th. If I understand things correctly, that is.

Modeling costs? time I would spend playing anyway...Software is a LITTLE expensive... Maxfield Parrish..hmm.
Thread: I wouldn't have believed it but... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I was halfway hoping you were running one of the Intel hyperthread CPU's, would possibly have explained it. But I suppose if it does, it does...naa, there has to be SOME explanation.. I'd like to see it on a bare system...just the OS and Poser. I'll never own a copy of XP, so I can't test it myself; I've worked with it enough as a MCSE to NEVER let it in my home!
Thread: I wouldn't have believed it but... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I find that very, very, very doubtful. XP is Win2k under the hood, with a fancier GUI; It would make no sense for it to perform faster. Possibly you had some services running in the background on win2k that didn't carry over to XP. Hmm. do you have a AMD XP processor in the 1300 to 1800 range? there was a bug that caused them to be doggy in Win2k, I believe, that would have been fixed in WinXP.
Thread: Fully Furnished Condo | Forum: MarketPlace Showcase
Darn it, I was getting ready to do something similar. I don't think mine would have been so cool, though. nice work.
Thread: coming soon, with any luck. | Forum: MarketPlace Showcase
I just put it pending...
I was really asking if you can only mention things sold at renderosity; I can't remember if I've ever read that the marketplace is an offshoot of the forums, or vice versa.
