Change all the materials to just the "simple and fast" grey settings and see if it goes really fast, if it does, then its probably materials you are using. If it doesn't then I really don't know what is wrong, more then the machine choking on something.. I am not really good with MAC but if you have something like a "task manager" then check it and shut down everything you can to free up resorces. Hope that helps you out..good luck

All you really need to do is give it a start point.... Which is usually at 0 sec, then move the timeline to lets say 10 seconds and enter a value of 360 degrees in the atributes box of the item.. i don't know which way you want it to sping but use the x,y,or z axis to get the spin you want.

Try copying all the files you want to your harddrive first and then try and import them.. Make sure archive and read only don't show up on the harddrive copies.

I really need a little more info, but here are somethings to look at. 1. Are the images and files there on the disk, you can see individual items? 2. Did you use Adaptec software to burn?? Adaptec loves to make images out of everything. 3. If you can see the items, did you copy them to you harddrive first before you tried to use them? If you did make sure the archive, and read only is not checked. That is about all I can think of right now, hope that helps you.

You can't force Bryce to do anything really.. I have play a lot with the Distance rendering, and I think its a WIP for Corel. I think they need a patch to get rid of many little glitches. I have done 4 distance renders and never noticed that fact, but I went back and looked at some of mine and I see what you mean.... I played with it a little to see if I could get an results that were exceptable. If I get your question you want the "foreground tree" to have a transparant look to the leaf. The only way I was able to get that look somewhat was to really make it transparant and add a little bit of light near the object. Hope that helps..
