In my test scene, the primary light points directly at the urn (used Point At) and casts the shadow on the wall.
The relevant dials for it are as follows:
xScale 349%
yScale 582%
scale 211%
intensity 250%
xtran 0.000
ytran 8.000
ztran 21.000
The other 2 area lights in my scene are very low intensity and were just for side key lighting.

When you mention scaling the light, were you adjusting the actual scale settings on the light? And since these use ray traced shadows, did you adjust the settings at all or just go with the defaults? (And the image you posted is the look I'm trying to achieve.)
Yep, just scale the lights with the Scale Dial -or- use the Scale X and/or Scale Y dials if you need a tall or wide light. Seems like I had intensity set at around 250% on at least one of the lights and scaled the lights up to around 200%-300%, but I might be off on those. I don't remember if I adjusted the area light properties much. I'm currently running a render, but will check my test scene when it's done and post settings.

Hi Doc000! I just ran a quick test in Poser Pro 11 using 3 area lights. They do work in FireFly.
The sample scene I set up generated soft and moderately dark shadows.
Try setting the intensity of your area light(s) higher and also scale them larger to get soft shadows while maintaining relative brightness. Move it/them further or closer to the objects you want lit to further "tune" the intensity and/or softness of the shadows.
The Shadow dial doesn't do anything that I can tell with respect to area lights. I believe you need to adjust the area light intensity and size of the area light.
It's been a while since I've rendered with Firefly, so you might want to start with a simple scene using my suggestions to see how it works.
I'm sure others with more experience and knowledge will come along with a lot more useful information.
Hope this helps some!

Hi inquire.
I have a Mac mini running macOS Sierra 10.2.6. I did install/update from Poser Pro 11.2 to 11.3. Installation went fine for me and I've run a few renders. I haven't tried everything out, but my brief test was a good experience.

Thread: LaFemme - Great huge enormous thigh gap | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I think there's an inner thigh morph in the MR Body Kit. It might bulk up the thighs too much unless you can use some other thigh morphs to compensate. Also look at overriding the dial limits to add some negative values if needed. I do that a little with L'Homme and the various La Femme morph packs that I've injected into him.
Hope that helps a little.

A little more digging around through my stuff and I found the three original 3.5" installer disks for Poser v.1.
I also unearthed installers for the Newton Toolkit SDK ( for Apple handheld pen tablets from the 1990s) and Connectix QuickCam. As a hobby, I used to write multimedia software for the Newton family of products and had been granted developer access to the Connectix QuickCam in the hope of using the QuickCam as a camera for the Newton. The device drew too much power for the Newton to handle, so I abandoned that project. LOL!
I recall creating some QuickTime VR apps for Newton that used Poser renders for some 360 degree viewing demos.
It's been great seeing these little treasures again after all those years!

Thank you, Afrodite-Ohki! Lee Homme appeared in Free Stuff just a few minutes ago. I hope he's useful.

I've heard from the always awesome Jenn regarding my pose file/parameter dial settings for L'Homme and submitted it to Free Stuff.
I hope it's of use to folks.

Hopefully you could distribute all of them! If they're just dial numbers, with no actual morph information, you should be fine (But yeah, better wait on that reply.)
I am only using the parameter dials to create the "Lee Homme" body and head shapes. I think I'm fine with doing it that way. One reason I've saved the settings as a simple pose file is so others can adjust the dials to their liking and not necessarily use Lee Homme as-is. I do admit I'm a bit biased -- I like the look of Lee Homme better than the default setting, but that's true of almost every default character. LOL!
We'll see what RPublishing says and go from there. Hopefully, I'll get a reply soon.

This is a side by side comparison of L'Homme's default shape, L'Homme Pro using his morphs, minor body part scaling, and control chips, and finally, L'Homme Pro with additional La Femme morphs applied. The version shown in the middle is the one I'll (hopefully) be making available as a pose file.
L'Homme is already looking good out of the box, but can certainly benefit from the talents of our amazing vendors and other enthusiastic customers.

That's quite good. I'm interested to try it out.
Thank you, jartz!
I'm waiting to hear from RPublishing on acceptable use of the morph dial settings. As soon as I do, I'll put this in Free Stuff.
I'd also love to have more morphs to further enhance and adjust L'Homme's default shape. I'm sure those will come along soon enough. L'Homme is so new, everyone hasn't had enough time to use him extensively.

I've sent a sitemail to RPublishing to ask about distributing my "Lee Homme" pose file for L'Homme. This is the one that only uses L'Homme Pro's included morphs (plus some scaling and control chip adjustments.) If it's permissible to do so, I'll put it up in Freestuff.
For folks that want to use this body/head shape as a starting point with L'Homme (or as-is.) I may split his head morph from his body morph if there's any interest in "Lee Homme" to begin with. LOL.

Excuse the low quality sample render. I was in a hurry just now.
Briefs are from Femme Fatale set and the hair is the Business Hair for Dusk.
