Cheers, just did what you suggested previously & it looks washed out as in a standard atmosphere. I then plucked the waterwheel from the objects section & baked it. Kept the atmosphere the same & it went fast. Perhaps my cube setup was cranky on the previous test. So keep the GI/GR & bake high. The manual suggests that it renders the first frame & that once it has done that then the rest of the frames fall in behind. Gotta go read a bedtime story to my daughter, so will check back later!

Thanks Cheers. Doh, didn't reason that one out! Will run it by again to see what happens. I imagine all will be well now!

After playing around with the illumination baking for a while I couldn't really see what true benefit there was to it.
So I ran a quick test. One small plane & a cube in a GI atmosphere. Both baked to polys to enable the illumination baking.Tracked the camera towards them for a few seconds.
Normal animation setting - after 5 frames - 50mins approximation
Illumination baked(25% quality) - after 5 frames - 2hr20min approximation
The baked version also looked awful because of the low baking threshold. So what is with this illumination baking?
It not going to be any use to me like this! Can someone else maybe try a similar experiment to see if it's just me?

Well, I just rendered some animation with the illumination baking & it seems to make very little impact on render times if you want your image to look the same as the still. At 100% it looked terrible. At 300% it looked very similar, so did the time factor. They suggest stepping up the threshold in the manual. If you can live with a very rough version maybe it's good. Got any tips Cheers, would like to know your setup.

Hi wabe,Here is a link to the E-ON thread. I posted a few jpgs there.
Thanks for looking into things at your end!

I will hold off the reinstall until I hear back from E-ON as they may want to see the file! Thanks for testing later wabe! Lets hope it can all be sorted out soon, as I'm itching to make some footage!

Thanks for the reply guys! I going to reinstall & see if that helps. Last time I did so, Vue remembered previous stuff, which is handy in some instances but not all. wabe, this starting at frame 99000 only just cropped up this morning. It says out of memory & either crashes or weirdly then starts to render. Should start at frame 1 onto frame 75, where is 99000 coming from? The aspect ratio narrows with standard PC & 16.9 ratio. I also ran a preview in the timeline, it was PC ratio except the bottom half was black. When it finished & played back it displayed a vertical part of the render but only about a fifth of the frame. Hope some of that makes sense!! Got major corruption that just keeps growing AGGHH!

I doubt we have many Muslim members here, Poser user's definatly not!. It is haram(forbidden) for them to depict animals & people. I could quote some Surah's but it would get boring! I agree with dlk30341's suggestion with regards to the thumbs.
Thread: Nude Thumbs | Forum: Vue
I had a moan about this a while back & everybody sorted it out. As time goes by you get it creeping back. I thought all thumbs should cover the offending areas with something or pixelate them out, no point in just flagging the content if it's staring right at you!

Hyperthreading works with the rendercow, high quality renders at a good speed! Ecosystems are so damn cool. Worth the money alone.
CPU is the important bit, graphic cards are only applicable with the Open GL interface. I can render a 1024 x 768 pic in a few hours at 'highish' USER Quality thresholds & the rendercow setup, my system is P4 266ghz, 1Gig RAM. Hope this helps!

I'm getting 'NOT FOUND' the url was not found on this server. Big problems at their end then!!

Irish,
There seems to be non copy-protected items if you use the drop down, sadly we have to pay extra for those models. Ah, don't see that option for trees after looking again.
