Great list.
Iย submit these, but I constantly break them:

For wet sand, you can take your sand/beach terrain, duplicate it, then clip the bottom off just a bit. Give the the lower terrain a darker, shinierย wet sand material.
Another way I've used, is postwork. Render the scene once with dry sand and a second time with wet sand, then layer them in your image editor and erase along the waterline, allowing the wet sand to show through

hope that helps.

Holding Shift while clicking the metaball icon creates a negative metaball. It reacts to a "normal" metaball without having to group them.

I did most of the morphs for 3DCommune's new Alexa2 all with ZB2. For that alone it is a very valuable tool, but only scratches about 5% of ZB's potential. As far as using it alone and for modeling and texture, I'm a continual newbie all the way from version 0.95 ZB takes more time than I have to give it. It's become almost overwhelming with the number of features it has. There's more to remember when using ZB. You have to know what comes next a few steps ahead.

Thread: Could Somebody Translate this for me? | Forum: Vue
I came to this forum for the same situation. I was fortunate enough to get 19 comments today and yesterday on an image and 10 of them I couldn't translate very well with babelfish. Googled a few phrases and it seems as though they are from Brazil. Wish there was a good accurate translator out there.
Most of the words looked positive, so I'll take what I get and gracias to any and all commenters
