There was not a single thing in v12 that tempted me to upgrade, other than wanting to support development. I thought it was ironic that one of the promotions included a copy of version 11 acknowledging that updating python was (again) going to break a lot of scripts people had come to depend on.Yes, we do. Maybe 12.1 or 13 in the future.
But since this is the last version upgrade, I think there should be an announcement about the future.
POSER has not had any novel new features for a while.
At this rate, I can't help but feel that POSER will be left behind by other CG applications.
I don't mean to compare it to DAZ, but I think long-time users will be worried if they can't see what's ahead.

Thank you so much, the UI dot did bring it back!
Lucky that the dot widget had "UI" selected instead of "Pose" or "Camera" which I use much more frequently. Come to think of it, I don't remember even setting those dots...
Thread: Geometry not being saved with custom figures | Forum: Poser 11 / Poser Pro 11 OFFICIAL Technical
Thank you. Yes, I didn't expect a new geometry when saving with "use original", I just thought that reloading that figure and then changing back to create new geometry would in fact create new geometry as it indicates that it would.Using the original geometry option will always link to the original geometry and never creates a new OBJ.
If you rename a character and don't change the geometry at all Poser will not create a new OBJ. You can force it to make a new OBJ by taking the figure into the setup room. You don't need to actually change anything just visit the setup room with the figure.

Also, any idea which of these installers she is in?
LegacyContent_Poser-Figures.zip 936.1 MB
LegacyContent_Poser-Nudes.zip 2 GB
PoserPremiumContent_Figures.zip 567.6 MB
I don't really feel like downloading 3.5 GB of installers I probably won't even be able to get to work.

Thread: Fitting room clothing conforming issue | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL

It's easy to use the fitting room to a non-zeroed figure as an interim step. But the final rigging has to be to the zeroed figure, unless you want to have to pose the resulting cr2 every time to match. You simply have to leave a thigh gap, and I recommend doing all the adjusting with the morph brush. Maybe you can reduce the thigh of the garment just enough along the X axis, and if necessary morph brush the inner thigh back out after rigging the garment. I've done that. I almost never run the fit sim in the fitting room. Also, it is best to rig to the base version of the figure and then copy the character morph from your figure.
It boggles my mind that whoever developed the fitting room didn't anticipate this. Or if they did, why they didn't spend another half hour providing a proper work around.

Making the clothing item a prop was my idea, and oddly enough might be the solution to my problem also. I am already able to get the prop fitted. So the next step I believe would be to make a new prop from the fitted item and then fit that to the zeroed figure using as few fitting iterations as it will allow.

I thought maybe I could do something in the fitting room, but I don't see a solution there either. I can adjust the clothing after conforming to fit, but not being able to zero the dials to the default t-pose still bugs me.

It looks like Dark Jeans are from James. They're included in the legacy content.
Indeed they are. Thank you, I finally found them!

Well, it turns out my problem was something else entirely... I finally found the thumbnail in the library for the item. It was called "Jeans Dark" and has a "conforming" label on it. The missing .obj is "Jeans Dark_164445978.obj". It was in a folder called WW Ryan 2.
IIRC, that would be an item I fitted to Ryan 2 with the Wardrobe Wizard? Wow, I haven't used that since right before my drive failed. Now I have to figure out which jeans I used and how I fitted them before.
Thanks for the assistance!

I'm sure they're in there somewhere, as well as some new stuff Bondware added, like La Femme and the Hivewire figures.
You're in the wrong forum, BTW. This is the Poser 12 forum. You might get more replies if you post this in the regular Poser forum. (Mods may move this there anyway.)
Someone once posted a list of the contents of each zip file. And I've probably downloaded them all myself. If you tell us what particular content you're looking for, we might be able to tell you which file(s) to download.
Didn't see a general Poser forum, that's why I put (Poser 11) in the subject. Oh, it's called Poser Official now...

Do you think the files I'm looking for are in here? There's no list of what is in each installer. My attempts to download these files earlier in the week were unsuccessful. I will try again. I'm looking for content installers from 2010-2015, I do not need anything from P4-P6... I do not know what all they are considering "legacy" content.

Looks like mostly tweaks to things I don't use or need... Does the hierarchy window still default to expanded? Does it remember my compression settings when changing from jpg to png and back? Does the program now minimize properly when rendering? Do I still have to type a file name to update a file that's already in the library? Does saving my file from the menu update the library thumb? Does it still allow pzz and pz3 files to co-exist while sharing a thumbnail that it will delete if either of the associated files are deleted? Does it still prompt me to find geometry files yet often brings up the very folder said file is in? Does it still let you have a different camera selected than the one you have chosen from the navigation widget?
Really curious... Can anyone tell me if any of these things have been changed in any way in the new release?
