I got mine on Thursday as well. After seeing the nice reference manual (which I seldom use), the nice reference card (which I do use), the great box and inserts, and the manufactured CD's, I am glad I ordered the 'real' thing!

I got the Dazzling Gaze eye textures set for V3. It was also $4.98. What is really nice is that I wanted this set, but just never picked it up. Thanks DAZ!
Thread: Thanks to Katherine/Tori | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I will not even begin to go through all of the work I caused Katherine to go through with IM's and orders and such. Yet she stayed good natured throughout the entire ordeal, and got everything straightened out even though I told her to forget trying. Talk about excellent support. Thanks again Katherine!

Don't tell me that now even freestuff needs to be posted in the product showcase! I guess that is one way to get some people to look in there. I don't go there, mainly because I quit buying anything here since they started implimenting all these rules.
Anyway, this looks great. Thanks for sharing it. When it is ready, please IM me if it must be moved to the Product Showcase. Do you have a newsletter? I know I've been to your site, but don't remember if there is a news letter. Thanks again for the freeby!

Thread: Constructing a Poser Scene ... Help! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I use the one-sided square method as PabloS mentioned. It is very easy to do. Heres how I do it: 1. Go to Props 2. Scroll down to Prop Types 3. Scroll down to One Sided Square 4. Double-click to add to scene 5. Click Render on the Menu Bar 6. Choose Materials 7. Apply a jpg image as a texture 8. Use the Scale slider to enlarge to fill the background 9. Move the square back with the move tool Hope that helps.

When my mother gets junk snail mail, she removes any reference to herself, then sends the junk from one snail mail back to a different sender, and vis versa. She has nothing better to do in her retirement, and gets some amusement out of it.

Thread: 200 x 200 thumbnail size HELP! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I used to go and post the image at PoserPros. Then the site would create a thumbnail that was smaller and clearer then any I could make using Photoshop or any other program. Next I would right-click the thumbnail at PoserPros and save it to use here or at other sites. Was that OK?
Thread: Poser 5 to Poser 6 worth it? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Oh, I forgot to add. I do not take old CRT type monitors, only flat panel displays 19" or larger. ;-)

I take old run down systems like that and refurbish them. Then I give them to the needy (like me). If you would like to donate that system, IM me and I will send you a prepaid shipping label. Of course the donation is not tax deductable, but you will have room in your office for a new top of the line machine! ;-)
Thread: Poser 6 pre-order price drop.... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I pre-ordered Poser 5 back in 2002. I have changed my email address since then, and did not get the special discount coupon. I IM'ed Katherine two days ago, and she told me she would take care of the problem, and make sure that I get the coupon.
However, after seeing the notice here today about the 15% off, making the normal update $109.XX, I just went ahead and ordered. I feel that less than $120 delivered for Poser 6 is a great deal! I have had more fun with Poser 4 and Poser 5 than with any other software that I use.
What can I say? You don't get much anymore for $120. I paid three times that for World Builder, and I never use it! It stinks compared to Poser (even Poser 5), and Vue 4.2. I will never complain about Curious Labs after dealing with Digital Element. At least Curious Labs releases fixes for free. When DE finally fixed World Builder, they upped the version from 3.22 to 3.5, and wanted another $150. Funny thing is, I never heard many complain about that!
