If you have Poser 5, it might be worth while to create a new runtime directory just for Vicky 3 and all her folders. Could help to cut back on all the confusion and clear up some space.

In P4 the average fully dressed character will take 4-5 minutes to load for me. Add 3 minutes to the length of each additional character you might add after the first (5 minutes for the first, 8 for the second, 11 for the third...) In P5, the same characters take 30 seconds each to load. Don't ask me why the difference.

sigh, to grab more SVScans, try #SWA or #SCP or #SDC on DALnet as he often hangs out in there. Millions of scans there for people to get and realize that not every naked chick was done with Poser :)

It's probably one percent of people who have it work fine say anything in here, but ninety-nine percent of people who have a problem probably do. So it seems like a lot bigger percentage of people having problems than really are. Plus the same people bitch and moan repeatedly making it seem even worse. I still love it when people say something stupid like "I got it, installed it, tried it for an hour... stupid thing is useless since I can't master it instantly so I'm going back to P4! Just like me with piano lessons...

I have no doubt Daz will continue to work on their own render program but for them to not continue supporting Poser would mean cutting their customer base by more than 50%. In just a year or two a majority of Poser users will be on Poser 5, for them not to support it wouldn't make business sense. It also would be disasterous for the entire community if the two programs couldn't share items interchangably. I know I couldn't afford both so I'd stick with what I have the most of.

Everything made prior to Daz's new render tools release will work on Poser, but not Daz's new tool (CL owns the rights to cr2, pp2 etc...) and everything made after the Daz render tool is released won't work on Poser. Fun wow, the community will split in two. Pick your poison.

It's kind of telling when less than one tenth of one percent of Renderosity's members are doing ninty five percent of the complaining.
