Well I unfortunately can't forget mine as it is the big four oh this year for me!!
No, never been to S-U-A but would love to visit but I didn't know about the teddy bear museum - now I have a real reason to go and visit!
I wonder if photography is allowed in the museum????
Perhaps you can give me a crash photography course when I'm down there, you know, teach me the difference between the lens and the viewfinder!!!

You see, now I feel like I've learned something proving that old cliche "You're never too old to learn" or disproving "You can't teach old dogs new tricks" HA!
Mine is quite simple: I'm a lover and collector of teddy bears, a true "arctophile" and I had a bear custom made for me to resemble my step-dad ..... reading glasses, big bushy eyebrows, newspaper (I actually have an avatar with that bear on it!!) .... anyway, as I had to think of a name for this bear, but I lacked imagination, I called him "Bibby Bear" as Bibby is my step-dad's surname!!
See, boring really - but I usually find it quite unique when having to think of a username on different websites whereas "Chrissy" is used loads of times and I would end up with "Chrissy 68543" or something else equally as ridiculous!
Thanks for the info though - you are very well travelled for someone so young, and very well educated too - a nice quality these days I might add!!

Ha! I'm already qualified in the looniness department - plenty to share around there then!
Rich ..... I've just been surfing your bio on your own website (I've been there before looking at some of your photos - great stuff!) but I can't find the answer I'm looking for....
Being a woman, and an exceptionally nosey one at that (not really!) I like to understand a bit about where people chose their online names from - some are more apparent than others, some are in languages that I don't understand and therefore am usually too embarrassed to ask, but yours ....... well you're a Brit and I just can't fathom what it might mean??
It doesn't have anything to do with your surname does it??
Or is it perhaps Latin?? You did say you studied Latin in school??!!
Sorry for being inquisitive!

Our garden spends most of the year water-logged!!
We squelch our way down to the shed sometimes - now that must be Tony's fault I reckon!!!
Nuclear showers eh?? I bet you have a nice glow about you when to emerge from one of those!!
Happy watering Jack!

Yes, perhaps I ought to start carving the pumpkins at Halloween instead of leaving them to hubby and the kids!!
Sorry, I know this should be a bit more serious and I apologise for bringing the game down to my level - but I can't beat you all, I can't even join you all, so what the heck ..... I'll just make a mockery of it!!! (It wasn't even a good capture - the lighting is awful!!!)
Gotta have a laugh though sometimes...

Well at least yours would have been one of the ones that Tom struggled to chose from, mine were probably the ones "quickly eliminated"!!!

Thread: What you do with your picture? | Forum: Photography
I have just recently created a gallery on my website (link below) but there aren't that many on there yet.
I also entered several into a web contest (WOSIB - I'm a member of this Women's only group) for the 2007 calendar competition and six of them were chosen that were put in three of their calendars - which are for sale for the group's profits (no profit for me, but my name is on each of my pictures, which is nice!)
I've also had five of them printed 14" x 11" and framed on my dining room wall.
And finally, I make web sets from some of them and have a graphics section on my website (link below) where people can used these on their own websites if they want - I haven't sold any of these yet, but I do enjoy making them!
I am open to suggestions though..................

Thread: Simon says ....show me your waterfalls | Forum: Photography
OK, not a very good photo of mine, it was so dark and fenced off, but I liked the story behind it when I saw it!!
The Secret Waterfall
(somewhere deep in the heart of North Wales - but it's secret, so I can't tell you where!! LOL!)
***"Listen carefully and you may hear ghosts of the Victorian miners who made this picturesque waterfall, with its drop of 100 feet. It drains the upper moorland that would otherwise have flooded the mines, and was hidden for more than a century by a dense growth of rhododendron bushes, behind which it was just a mysterious whisper. Hence its name Y Rhaeadr Gudd, or Secret Waterfall."
Not so mighty as the photos already shown in this thread - some great shots, well done!
