And a good plan, at that. That makes sense. Although I can see the benefit to a checkbox option for one off items, I wouldn't put it as a high priority. For me, most of my renders are of architecture, so it would be somewhat simple, (I hope), to just add a 2-sided glass material for windows.
I had not thought about eyesurface materials. Shows how much I render people.

Thanks. Is there a way to have a checkbox for the material and have it automatically added per material, or is this something that will come later with the material editor?
Actually, it shouldn't be too hard to just add a 2-sided glass material. Now to learn how to do so!

You did yourself a favor. Dust can kill a hard drive.
Anyway, thanks a lot. I have kept meaning to start using Shape Magic again, and now I have a nice reminder.

No problem. I am going to remove the file now from my dropbox now that the site has it. I hope this doesn't cause anyone any issues.

It does unzip, but it takes some digging to get to the python script. I have corrected it, but not sure how to get it to you.
OK, try the link below. Should work.

It was the camera scale. Although camera scale said 100%, Xscale, Yscale, and Zscale were all at 167%. Changed those to 100% and moved camera accordingly and get the proper focal length.

I am using Poser Pro 2010 64-bit. So you are using the same version. On tjhe camera tab, the focal length does show correctly, and I took care not to change it. It is poosible that the camera scale is affecting it from Poser; but never had run into that before; or rather wasn't affected before if this is the case now. I'll have to look again and see what is different.

OK, I don't know if I found a somewhat major bug, or not. If so, perhaps it is in other versions of the exporter as well. Using 0.51, btw.
Here is what happens:
I load a prop (Old Manor) and apply a camera preset. I adjust the camera slightly, and also change the focal lenrth to 44. I export using the script, noticing that the focal length is at 44. However, in the render, it is not at 44 as far as I can tell. But the render dimensions seem off to me. So I go back and check and make sure the dimensions are set correct in Poser. They are. I render in Poser to see what happens. It renders everything correctly. Correct focal length and all. Even the dimensions are correct.
So I revert to an the previous build, and get the same results with the incorrect dimensions and/or focal length. I had never run across this before that I had noticed, so I am flummoxed.
OK, tried again, this time i didn't use the camera preset, just placed the camera manually to approximately the same position. This time it rendered OK as far as focal length. The dimensions seemed off still though.
I didn't notice it, but does the exporter tell you what camera it is using? Just in case it isn't really using the main camera that I am setting.

Thanks for clearing that up! I have been a little wary as of late of malware disguised as updates.

I just beginning to discover how many features this plugin has
Even during rendering by Lux render i can modify some settings like exposure
Just a point of clarification. The ability to modify settings while rendering is totally Lux Render. The Reality plugin has nothing to do with that.

Thanks. I keep forgetting the top camera. And I should have thought of the tip to look at a close object.
Perhaps in a future version they will improve placement ability. I would like to see double-clicking an item to load at center, and drag to drop in the approximate area of the drop. Wishful thinking.

I would. You don't have to usde the Hybrid renderer, but it is nice to have when you do want it. Also, If your OS is 64-bit, get the 64-bit version of Luxrender.
