It's Windows Security. And this issue was caused by the "Controlled Folder Access". 

If that's ticked on, Windows blocks Poser. I listed Poser as an exception - and now everything works.

So for anyone else having this problem, the steps are:

Settings - Window Security - Virus & Threat protection settings - manage settings - scroll down to Controlled Folder Access - Manage controlled folder access - allow an app through controlled folder access (And if you had this error, Poser will be listed as recently blocked apps - just select it.)

So this is the problem:

When you save a file, Poser uses the location of the saved file to store the cache in so it can render the image.

When you're working with an unsaved file, Poser doesn't have a directory to store the cache in.

It defaults to Program Files\Poser - which is of course read only (I could see this in the queue manager).

The first time I installed Poser it created a directory under documents\poser\rendercache (something similar). But at some point it lost the connection to that folder and would no longer use it. When I deleted that folder (I wiped everything Poser) and reinstalled Poser, it didn't create the directory again - and so didn't have a valid path for the render cache.

This problem persists but I now have 2 work-arounds:

1. I can send it to the render queue where I can specify the output path

2. I can first save the file (oddly enough when I'm creating something I work with unsaved scenes 90% of the time because you're saving the props or materials - not the scene)

Is there an discounted upgrade from 11Pro? $250 is a little steep, and it seems any upgrade to 12 is gone now.

I develop games and I have used Poser / Daz 2D images for those, mostly Poser. We convert them to the lowest resolution needed to improve the game performance. These games run fast (30 - 60 frames per second i.e. it is cycling through the code 30 - 60 times a second and displaying images to screen at that speed). The minute you start using high resolution images you limit your game to only run on desktop or the latest and greatest mobile devices (which are scarce outside of first world markets.) My games in Unity that is rendering 3D real time will only run on fairly recent devices, it stutters on older phones. That's pretty much  the reason all apps reduce the resolution.

For simply transferring your renders from your PC to your mobile, you can use cloud storage that links them, Bluetooth or USB. The resolution will remain the same. You do not specifically need an app for that.

Where I would like to see an app or progress is to have a Poser light that you can run on a mobile with a draft render, and then pay a  fee to upload and render these on a server i.e. Bondware's server for the final quality render and then the render is returned to you (In fact I'd pay for this even from a PC, because a high quality render uses up 100% of my PC resources and then takes a few hours.) I think this would open up the software to 1000s of people that only use mobile internet and do not own laptops or desktops. 

The "store" sales are for top sellers and active vendors only - that's why you're seeing the same vendors over and over again. But then these vendors are the most important Vendors to Renderosity.

The group sales that are a specific theme - any of the vendors can participate in - that said, the majority of my products can't participate because the theme they're in never comes up - probably because my products are less mainstream.

It is a bit of a catch-22 - I no longer make content because what I made didn't sell enough to make it viable - that means I'm no longer an active vendor and can't promote what I made - which means there's no chance of my selling enough to make it viable for me to become an active vendor again...
