Hang on a minute! Perhaps I am a little slow on the uptake here. I brough Poser 5 because it was the latest version of Poser, it seemed silly to get 4 when logic says that everyone would be creating for the latest. I knew that Daz did not issue Poser 5 specific stuff (dynamic hair etc - but they did do some Hmann dynamic clothes didn't they?)but I assumed that their stuff was compatible - logic again. Where does it say on Daz pages that they are not? Most everything I have brought has worked fine in P5. I had also noted the poke through on the GIRLs 'the dress' around the boobs, and the fact that the boot texture do not work well (the lace holes remain visible up her legs when you apply the show mats) but I did not realise it was because I was using the latest edition of the software that Daz creates content for! Am I going mad or are they?
Thread: I want to buy this gadget - but I don't know what it is called! | Forum: Photography
Thanks for the suggestions. I did find some but they were so expensive for what they did. Anyway, my husband suddenly realised that there was a way to solve my dilemma and get more use from the PC - buy me a lap top! So I now have a shiny new Toshiba and 160g external hard drive - and I am one happy girl! Thanks again, guys.

This hair is indeed seriously good. And cheap too! There are piles of morphs for long styles, tall styles and even a bunch of fantasy ones. One of the most realistic and versatiles hairs I have ever seen.
Thread: Anybody know the code for Vicky 3? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Yeah, I am rearranging all my stuff into seperate runtimes. I was just testing the stuff I have put on so far and it is much faster and easier now. I brought a nice 160g external hard drive so that I can share my poser and graphics stuff between the 2 pcs. The idea is that I use the desk top one whilst I am downloading and things and the lap-top when my son is playing games/ husband is watching the Plymough Harbour Web Cam (!?!) on the desk one. I am checking the directory now, Sambucus, always pleased to make my life easier!

Thanks very much, Karen. I didn't realise it was as easy as that, duh! Now to go find it on the many disks. I can not believe how much poser stuff I have, it is a sad addiction! Anyway, thannks again.
Thread: I need to know how to create a new runtime... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Yep, is is really easy. And it does make things a lot easier. By the way, if you set up an empty runtime (call it anything you like) and change to it before exiting Poser, when you start it up again it will start up super fast.

You can certainly use it to make background scenes. It is pretty easy to use and a lot of fun!

The thing is, Jasonmit, that picture may not represent the real scope of your abilities but it is a nice piccy. Sure, I probably could do the same - but I haven't. You thought of the scene, you made the scene - and you deserved to sell the scene. Art is about ideas not techniques. Just coz something was easy to produce doesn't take anything away from the vision that made it the great pic it is. I may not know much, but I know what I like.
Thread: Favorite Figure to Use? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I love Stephanie Petite. David is also great, I am not a big fan of the muscle bound male but Mike 3 does get an airing sometimes. Dina V is great, it is nice to use someone not at all Dazy occaisionally. But my biggest favorites are Koshini, Kiki and Krystal - they are such darlings. Finally, must say I love the anime doll coz I am very into Japanese animation and she has the look!
Thread: P5 Judy | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
New Judy AnAn by Yamato is really gorgeous - highly recommended. You can give Judy a face like Posette, the P4 figure (or any other Poser figure!) like this.... Load up the figure who's face you plan to nick. Render a clear picture of the head front on and in profile. Try and get a good even light, with as few shadows as possible. Save the two pictures and remember where you put them!! Load up Judy, say bye-bye to her mule face. Go to the Face room. Load up the two pictures as your source and gently adjust the points on the photos to try and match. Taks you time here and it should be quite easy. You may want to undo the morph dials and set the Female one up a bit. If you are looking for an ethnic face, twiddle the relevent dial. When you are happy either a) apply to Judy which will include the texture the donor character had on (can be useful!) or b) just apply the morph and apply a texture later. I have found this technique to be very succesful and opens Judy up to a lot of new possibilities.
Thread: Frank Frog Playsuit Freebie | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
My surname (and therefore my husbands!) is French. My hubby, Del, used to be called Froggy at school, as does my son. No idea when the tradition of calling the French frogs started, but it seems like it is done in an amicable way nowadays. I am sure there are worse names to call someone! PS - I agree, frogs are well cute. There is a bunch in my mum's pond at the moment and I am sure they are fed up with me photographing them!

I can't justify buying thte whole thing again for MillHorse compatibility - but if anyone out there has not got the original, I must say that the coaches are really nice.
