Thread: Processor Overheating Issues with Poser 5 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Most "casual" computer use never stretches the processor to 100% for long. Tapping away in a word processor or browsing the web will probably give you an average processor useage of 1-5%. Poser, on the other hand, uses the processor very intensively. Just moving the mouse around on it's interface will bring the processor useage up to near 100%. Daft! Rendering, of course, will use 100% of the processor slices all the time. As a developer, I often accidentally code endless loops which result in 100% processor use... if I leave this running my machine will overheat (>65C) in about 5 mins. I have a whole bunch of stuff in my case... several large drives, TV card, 3 video cards 500W PSU and the rest. I don't have an overheating problem now! I've taken the side off the PC case!! Lots of lovely air-flow:)) H:)

Thread: Anyone use CR PRO w/ P6 yet? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hi all... Obz files aren't new... they've been around since at least Poser 5!! CRPro does recognise obz files as being geometry files (it always has!)... the problem must have a less strightforward cause. I'll check out the thread if I can find it:)) Hehe... onimusha I'll do my best:)) So far CRPro is looking good-to-go with Poser 6 as there have been no major changes to the reference system. Good news for me! H:))

For what it's worth, my Poser file text editor ZPad will open the compressed files. You can then save them as uncompressed for your delictation:))
Thread: Poser File Managment question.... how do you manage a massive archive of assets | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Wow! This is an old thread!! Hi Greg... I feel we're alone in here... hear the ECHO Echo echo? No... if you move folders in textures and geometries Poser does not correct the references. It will have a go at finding them when you load the content... but in the process, this will lock up the folders so PBooost can't switch. There's lots about the "alternative method of work" in the tutorial...:) I'm actually working really hard on PBooost II at the moment! It's looking pretty cool now, and has such useful features as "automated scene-recovery" if your banks do get stuck and you don't have CRPro. Any of the buggyness.. and apparent buggyness of PBooost 1.4 will be gone:) H:))

Thread: Different languages and the materials library? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
oh... and I also need to know what the materials entry in the libraries tab is called in different languages if possible... For example... the Figures library (as called in English Poser libraries tab) rewfers to the "characters" folder on disk. Thanks for any help... Howard:))
