I have 6 4GB DDR3 1600's (vengence) running now and they work great. Since the i7CPU limits the ram speed to around 1333 ( I don't remember the exact speed) it really doesn't make much difference. Even if you put ram 2000's in your computer they will run at the slower speed because of the CPU limit. The only way you can get them to run faster is with overclocking and that can be very tricky if you are not used to it.
But, just increasing the ram will help. The more ram you have the better.

Thread: Scrolling Problem with Poser Pro 2012 Library | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I'm using a logitech wheel mouse that has a thumb ball. My wheel scrolls through the library only after I open one of the runtimes. It does not work until at least one of the arrows in the library is pointing down and you have clicked on and highlighted the line with the arrow pointing down.

Thread: Could do with some advice regarding Poser Animation clip size problem | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
MikeMoss and Rokket are right. There really isn't any way to get around using an external movie maker and it's best to have Poser output image files. I use the free Windows Live Movie Maker and the over priced Magix Movie Edit Pro. Magix has the ability to outpun to mpeg 4 which really decreases the size of the file.

lol ... I had the same problem, but finally figured it out. The print on the DVDs that tell you which one is windows and which one is mac is really REALLY small. For us old guys, that can be a problem.

Thanks for posting this. That was the problem I was having. It was showing "4433" and the page just would not load. I jumped over to another computer that had a different firewall and just ordered the ship version.

Thread: Poser Pro 2010 vs 2012 Dynamic Hair | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks RobynsVeil
Like you, I’ve been using Poser for quite some time. I’ve been through Poser 4, 5, 6, 7, and now Poser Pro 2010. It looks like Poser Pro 2012 will be a worthy upgrade. I decided to skip Poser 8 because the reviews just didn’t seem to be that good, but I will begin the new download of 2012 later today. It will be interesting to run 2010 and 2012 side by side and see the differences.

Your renders are great. My only concern was whether differences between 2010 and 2012 were significant. It looks like the scatter is very effective.

I had a problem like that and it turned out to be a memory issue. I had too many figures and textures in my frame for my machine to manage. I ran some of the old pz3 files on my new machine with 24 gig of ram and it cleared up. Not sure if that's what yours is doing though.

I forgot to tell you that I changed the hair1, hair2, etc parent to universe and then changed all of the hair1, hair2, etc back to the skull cap. After I did this, it started working. I do not know why. I was just getting frustrated and decided to try anything I could think of. This may not work because it doesn't always work for me either. I'm using Poser Pro 2010.

I had the same problem when I was working on this thing:

I finally got all three props to hold by adding prop 2 and 3 to the skull cap instead of the figure.

Thread: Poser Pro 2010 Dynamic Hair Question | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I just got some information from SM. Apparently my system is working just as it should. According to them, using more than one thread actually slows down the calculation for hair, but they will be trying to use more of CPU capability in the future. :::sigh:::
