DAZ will do that sort of thing ?? I didn't realise that ? I must investigate further. They must be a progressive company if they'll give credit for goods purchased in good faith when there is nothing wrong with the item and it's just ones misfortune to have purchased before a sale. Especially software...as how do they now that it's not working fine on a persons system after it's been installed...after all...they can't suck it back off your computer now, can they ?? :)
Thread: Charger, Eagle, and Buck now in the Platinum Store at Daz | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Been there, done that...just brought the Charger last week...but I'm not complaining...glad to grab the eagle and buck :)

Well - what ever you want to call it, it worked with me. I got Poser 3 through an English mag, got hooked, and now I have Poser 4. But I'm not planning on getting 5...not after seeing the probs lots of folks are having. Besides...my old pentium 2 PC is struggling enough with 4 , and I can't afford an upgrade

Great, Great work...Love 'em. May I humbly suggest a possibility if you're contemplating additions ? An anthro equine ? My Furry Char's are horse and donkey ...and I'd love to to be able to portray them...my newbie Poser skills aren't up to the task yet.

Very nice...just one comment...the way the scales overlap on the arms. In RL (ARE there Wood Elves in Real Life ?? ) the scales would most likely overlap in the same way as on the neck and torso

Verrrrry nice...maybe one comment...some sort of grid work ffor recording purposes ? Most of the sites I see these days in photos are being very well recorded . Also possible a couple of 'spoil' heaps, pottery shards ??
Thread: DAZ, Platinum, and the old stuff. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I just signed up for the Platinum Club last night after a bit of thought. What with the exchange rate differences between US and Australia...the reduced special membership available now seemed worth the expense. Add to that the further 30 % discount, and that make a very significant difference to what I'm going to be able to purchase in future. I'm only a newbie to Poser and 3 D , madly grabbing every freebie I think might be potentially useful (many thanks to all you talented, generous folks out there !). I think the Platinum Club is a great idea for newbies trying to find their feet. Sure, it's obviously designed as a marketing ploy to build DAZ's customer base...but thats what commerce is about. And, as an aside...I've been reading posts about folks having troubles accessing DAZ...all I can say is that I've never found a problem in the last month or so when I've visited the store from here Down Under.
Thread: DAZ Cyclorama | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I just purchased the Cyclorama yesterday...installed it and have been playing a bit. I'm quite happy with the results, though I must agree, some sort of instructions on how to use it would have been very helpful. As a total newbie to Poser (Poser4), I must say that I'm pleased with this tool. Actually managed to produce a recognisable picture within 5 minutes. Now if I only KNEW what I was supposed to be doing... :)

Thank you all for your prompt responses to my question - I seem to have started something. Due to your responses, I'm definately going to purchase this tool . Glad it's designed for Poser 4...as thats what I have.
Thread: WIP - Bala the Dwarf | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Yeah...'Traditionally' female dwaves have beards...maybe goatees ??. Somehow I can't see them with th full beard that males usually seem to have. And as an aside...regarding her outfit. Don't forget..REAL mail is HEAVY. It just hangs straight down...doesn't flair out like cloth does. I don't know how you'd get that effect though. To me, most works shown involving mail just don't look quite correct...the outfit either clings too close to the figure, followes every curve, or it sticks straight out. Sorry to be critical on this point. I know I'm a total newbie to Poser...but I do know what mail can, can't do..I've worn it often enough.
Thread: the mane attraction.... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I'm very much a newbie to Poser...but one of the principal reasons I got it was for the animal models. Any hints on just how you did that mane ??
Thread: P5: What happens during the Firefly Render ??? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I'm totally unqualified to answer the question that you have actually posed. But I have a quick comment. Am I correct in assuming that what you are trying to show is an archer firing an arrow...and what we are looking at is a head-on shot of the arrow ?? If so...then the archer's pose is incorrect. When firing a longbow..the archer stands with left leg towards the target... left arm holding the bow is straight out to the side. The right hand, holding the bow string and arrow, should be up against the archer's cheek..roughly about at the right corner of the lip. I know I'm not good at explaining this...but have a look at a RL pic of an arcer with long bow...it'll make my point clearer. Sorry to be so picky.
Thread: DAZ Store Problems | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I've only just tried using the Daz store (total newbie here)...and I only had one problem....the insistance on a phone AND Fax number to get an account. As live in Australia...I can't see my number being of any use to a US company (as well as an un-neccessary intrusion into my privacy. Spam email is bad enough..Spam phone calls are worse. Anyway...ny solution was just to enter a random string of numbers in the format requested (Hope I haven't grabbed someones number by accident)
Thread: New Giant Freebie - Ultimate Poser 4 horse Morph Set!! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
