Thread: Custom Parameters Palette! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I love using the Custom Parameters Palettes. And for the same reason you like them.
Perhaps someone can come in with an answer to the animation palettes.

Thread: Question: Can you Overlay a layer in Poser? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL

There was a set of backdrops on Renderosity with such guides on, called "Divine Poser" (no longer sold, though).
Krios posted a Poser hack on a Smith Micro forum thread called "The Rule of Thirds", and about two thirds of the way down he links to a .zip file on DeviantArt (still live). It can still be found via Google. From his readme...
The Rule of Thirds by Krios Menoti - August 31st, 2017. This is a simple geometry (obj) that replaces the standard Poser Depth of Field guide with a version that can be used to figure out the "sweet spots" of the Rule of Thirds.
Excellent! Thank you for sharing this, HartyBart!

Thread: Ou est L'Homme? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Here are some samples of Dusk with some of Dawn's morphs applied (mostly hip/thigh morphs.) So, if L'Homme is a morph of La Femme and the joints scale/translate properly to fit the L'Homme body shape, I'll be very happy with him. And La Femme is built using newer methods that Poser Pro 11 supports, so I suspect that the joints won't be an issue. We will soon find out!

Additionally, maybe some smart creative person can create a camtarget.obz alternative with the Golden Ratio/Rule of Thirds grid which would also work as the depth of field focus indicator thingie. It would let you see the plane of focus and/or see the Rule of Thirds grid from any camera.
Just a thought.

Using HiveWire 3D's Dusk and Dawn as an example, I am not as concerned about L'Homme being a morph of La Femme. The ability to blend La Femme and L'Homme body/body part morphs together would give a lot of fine-tuning control over their body shapes. I do this with Dusk. I've injected/copied morphs from Dawn to Dusk and have gotten some really, really nice refinements to Dusk's body shapes. And I won't need to do clothing conversions for outfits created for La Femme that would look good on a male physique. As long as the concerns about mesh stretching related to the breasts are addressed, I'm quite looking forward to L'Homee. Also, I hope we get additional morph packs specifically for L'Homme, just as Dusk has (Sculpted, Ruckus, Dante, Rodrigo, Creature, etc.) for even more variety.
I'm thrilled to use Dusk and truly look forward to adding L'Homme to my Runtime. Can barely stand the wait for L'Homme!

And, I'll throw La Femme in the mix too.
BK FBM Bodybuilder + Blackhearted HD morphs
Traci, your La Femme Bodybuilder render is awesome! So well done!!

Here's the sample, low quality SuperFly render of Dusk/Ruckus all muscled up and sculpted with a bunch of additional morphs. I did not use the Ruckus head morph nor the Ruckus size/scale morph (he's tall, really tall, otherwise.) When using the Ruckus Body morph, his hands and feet are quite large, like F4's. As mentioned earlier, these are scaled down a bit. Also, I believe I'm using the Axel skin texture in this render. And the loincloth for Dusk is wonderful. I typically make the front and back flaps transparent when I need a posing strap/briefs for Dusk (as seen in my Dusk Soccer Player render.)

That is darned Impressive Lee! How do you like Ruckus compared to the Freak 4? While M4 can use f4's morphs, the effect isn't the same as starting with F4. Can dusk use Ruckus skin textures and vice versa? Sorry to ask but I'm extremely lazy today.
Hi quietrob! Thank you so much!
I like both F4 and Dusk/Ruckus. They are great figures. F4 has more clothing available, but Dusk/Ruckus has more versatility with respect to posing thanks to being created with more advanced features (weight mapping, etc.) At this point, I'm using Dusk exclusively. I do have quite a lot of morphs installed on my "Starting Point" version of Dusk. These include some of Dawn's morphs to give more control over the hips, nipples/areola, and thighs. I've also injected Dusk's Creature morphs, mainly to get some slight variations in the nose and larger eyes.
Ruckus is an injectable character for Dusk, so Dusk textures work great on Ruckus. I tend to mix and match various texture elements, mainly skin from one texture set and eyes from another to get some variety.
I'm rendering a sample image with Ruckus. I'll post it here when finished. It's mainly Dusk with the Ruckus morph dialed to 100%, the hands and feet scales dialed down a bit, and various other add-on morphs applied. It should give a fair indication of the versatility of Dusk/Ruckus when sprinkled with other morphs.

The Dusk and Dawn figures are now included with Poser Pro 11.2. I have been thrilled to use Dusk and have purchased quite a few morph packs for both he and Dawn.
Ruckus for Dusk gives Freak-like musculature and proportions to Dusk. Dialing up or down the Ruckus morph definitely gives Dusk a more barbarian physique. Also, Ruckus works on Dawn with some minor joint tweaking.
Here are a few Dusk characters that I've dialed in using some of the morphs that are available here and at HiveWire 3D.

And finally, Dawn with Dusk's Ruckus morphs injected and dialed in...

Lee, thanks for reporting back on that. That's good news!
You are most welcome, thartwick1! The developer team is doing a great job on tackling issues and I'm so glad they put out nightly builds for users to try (if they want to.)
And thank you, thartwick1, for identifying the bug. I would have encountered it eventually and it's awesome that it's already been fixed and waiting for the next public release of Poser. Kudos to all who report issues in such a clear and straightforward manner. That makes it easy for the rest of us to follow along and test things for ourselves.

I've installed the 11-26-2019 Mac beta build on my MacBook running macOS Catalina (10.15.1).
Poser is showing up as version 11.2.320.
The Translate tool works just as it's supposed to! Yay!
I'll play around a bit more with this beta build throughout the afternoon. Thanks so much, tim! I truly appreciate your guidance on this.

Thread: Poser 11.2.319 translate editing tool deforming figure | Forum: Poser 11 / Poser Pro 11 OFFICIAL Technical
Definitely a different behavior with the translate tool. From time to time, I use the translate tool to "nudge" a hand or foot around and the limb/torso/etc. will follow along depending on how far I move the body part. I can confirm that the stretching is happening in Poser Pro 11.2.319 on macOS Catslina. Stretching DOES NOT occur on my Mac running macOS Sierra and Poser Pro 11.2.319.
Additionally, the translate tool works normally on the first use of it, but begins stretching on the following usages.
I hope this gets sorted out quickly.
