Thx for the reply, yes O have Dson and have been able in limited capacity to use G2 in Poser, altho sometimes it just hasnt worked, will look at perhaps getting something for G2 and seeing what I can do. Thx again :)

I use Maya because thats what we use in school. I know guys who love Max as well as those who love other softwares. Consider what you need to do and what softwares have those features. Dont pay for more than what you`ll need down the road. Granted different tools will do different things better but I think that the most important factor is the artist and how much time you are willing to put into the program. There are some excellent resources online for learning just about everything. Pick what fits your needs and budget, have fun, suspend your frustration while youre learning, and show off your work so we can see it :)
 Oh, and if youre a student or teacher look into the educational licenses.

Oops sorry is Poser 10 to Maya 2014. Maya users usually see it as an insane idea lol. But until I get alot further along in Maya will be curious. Maybe I can simplify the Poser V/M4 mesh and apply the tex...wondering how nice it would look or am I wasting my time, esp if I would need to add all the characteristics of the shader.

Dont care to incur the expense to move up
There seems to be a splintering, many different figures. Vendors energy is getting split between G. G2. G3 etc so the amount of stuff is lower
Seems that very quickly theres a new figure out, dont see the point in sinking money and time into one when pretty soon it will be replaced
I have Poser. I have tried DS several times and dont like it at all, Daz is going towards exclusively DS so again whats the point.

ahhh ok, so its on or off for that morph plus you can play with the normal morph dials...sounds fun, clothes sound fun too.

cool, thanks, will have to lookup and see how they take that sculpted face and make it dialed for poser. Learning sculpting faces this summer and have had the first rigging class so familiar with some things. The final project we fully rigged a toon and setup dials etc. Should be interesting.

cool thanks, have found one site that grants use for anything except passing them along, altered or not. So including with a mesh seems ok. Appreciate the help.
