Victoria_Lee -wow very nice of you, thanks!
(BTW I am glad you do not have a torso that is to long from your waist to your shoulders, and I am sure your armpits aren't all the way up at the top edge of your shoulders, and I would never for a second imply that your butt looks like a huge donut when you bend over)

Thread: Blender and Poser | Forum: Blender
WOW that was the perfect , detailed answer
Thank you very much, lisa
It sounds like it is definitely not a "snap" but then again what is?
I will get into Blender when I am prepared to invest in the learning curve - probably in the next few weeks. I am certainly hoping, and it seems to me from what I have read, that there is a little more ability to actually warp and smooth poly shapes in blender at the single poly level - and I mean REALLY change vertices , not just shading them to appear warped and smoothed.

Thread: use external binary morph targets | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
It is cause the way I learned to make an INJ morph was to write the pz2 file and place it with the PMD in the pose directory.
I dont know .... it's just the way I have always done it :
spawn the morph, save figure with external binaries on , save character to figures directory, result is a PMD in thge fiigures directory.
write the pz2:
{
version
{
number 7
}
injectPMDFileMorphs MyFigure.pmd
}
then i grab the pmd file from figures directory and place it in the pose directory with this pZ2
always works fine for me - but HEY, i don't like the negative feel I am getting about using the externals so .....
can someone give me a better way....
like for instance Victoria ( you're not THE Victoria are you ???)
.....can you tell me more or point me to a tut on the method you mentioned?

Those renders of the Poser "Pad" are just sick - and I bet BB didn't even put a lot of effort into it.
Oh yes and I see poor Tom has just been hurt by Strahan ....Ah , memories of seasons past........

AH Les and Ockham located in the same place at the same time -
hey guys do you have a good way to copy and paste animation curves in the animation graphs windows? I BELIEVE if you position and click your mouse and drag just right...Poser will function to highlight whatever portion of your curve and let you copy - but it is impossible to really get the work done exactly and efficiently , and also when you paste, it is pretty hard to get the paste to go down in the right spot, if the graph you are pasting to has any activity already in it..... If there was a way to copy the whole animation graph of one body part, and then paste this whole animation curve to a different body part's graph......... and better yet, also be able to paste the INVERSE curve, that would rock. Hmmmm, I wonder if I am asking for one of the functions that you might already be performing inside your JIGGLES, Ockham.

I did the head only, and there is some kind of change.......I set up the nodes for GC the way Bagginsbill said to do it for Simon in this thread:
http://www.renderosity.com/mod/forumpro/showthread.php?thread_id=2738989&page=1
The ONLY difference is in the "math function 2", "Value 2" i had to turn down to about .2 or else she had a crazy intese bright glare, as if the light intensity was quadrupled or something....along with lowering this value, I decreased the intensity of the lights - I am only using 2 white spots , distributed evenly on her face and upper body. about 40-50% intensity
My obvious problem here is that even with white lights, and SOME twisted newbie form of GC......Sydney still looks like she is floating in a glass of cognac

*Or render separate elements that can be selected separately in Photoshop.
*A good point and a simple procedural concept that I did not consider
Thanks

in PS you have now gone past the point where you were able to isolate separate materials, as in the Poser render setup, so you will apply levels and curves in PS to the image as a whole .... UNLESS you want to try and lasoo select different parts of the image and repaste them all down as different layers, then you are asking for trouble because of transition from selected piece to selected piece, UNLESS you soft edge erase each contiguous edge between different pieces. It starts to get messy though. For that matter, if you want to post in PS, why not just shine differnt lights all over the image in PS with the PS render options......point is: I bet it's better control in the PS material room, although it takes longer , granted I suck at rendering in Poser up to this point but I bet it is a better result.

Bagginsbill,
I was hoping you could link me to a thread where you may have posted anything in the format of "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Gamma Correction" which might include a screen shot of the node chains.......showing the primary and secondary diffuse parameters, etc.
I thought I saw something...... but I'll be damned I cannot search and find it again......
Thanks

i tried making an injection morph which not only added a "MyFigure" dial to the head, but also a "MyFigure" dial to the lefteye and righteye body parts in their correct position.
It worked OK but the eyes don't move around so accurately now when I make her look around .....this prob is discussed in the thread that Les referenced. I am anxious to keep learning aout this problem its a big problem for me right now. Thanks for asking this question.
