Thread: Dawn's Impact on the Poserverse. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - I don't see any impact at all, frankly.
First, we're almost 90 days out from release and still no "morphs ++" which means Dawn is static and hardly usable for me. I don't like her appearance, nor do I like lots of her body parts - oh, those shoulders and that joker smile!!!!!!!! Ack!
I agree. I have Dawn, but have never used her. Just don't find her very attractive. Perhaps when the morphs arrive we'll see some more attractive faces and figures. In the meantime, I'm accumulating Dawn freebies, but not spending any money on her. Maybe I'll try her out as a background figure just to get a feel for her.
Thread: Sketchup and Vue | Forum: Vue
I do the same as you, i.e. I use the ruby script to export in object format. Sketchup has been very useful in finding certain models that I couldn't locate elsewhere. I was not aware of the Timble takeover, but will certainly check it out. I don't know that it will be a problem for me anyway since I don't do commercial projects. Have you tried the Sketchup plugin available at Cornucopia 3D? It allows you to save Sketchup models in Vue's vob format.

Just learned that GameBox Studios has some Vue items. They have a couple of ruins collections on sale, an Outback Farm, and a few materials.Thread: Problem with V4WM | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - Try using scenefixer on the cr2 to fix the FBM links?
Sorry, not familiar with scenefixer. Can you give me some more info on where to find it and what it does?
Thread: Problem with V4WM | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - Works fine for me, in Poser 9 and PoserPro2014.
Does non-weight mapped V4 work? Is she is the same runtime as the V4WM?
I am using Poser 9. No problems with V4.2 only with V4WM. Both are in the same runtime.

Thanks for the replys. Mazak, your two building look great and I will downoad them. I have looked at GAP for their wonderful tutorials and have downloaded some of their free stuff. I did not realize that YurDigital carried Vue items, but will check them out tonight.
As far as other sites I have looked at, Rodac(sp?) has some great medieval castles in vob format. Most of the other things are non-Vue. Generations 3D has lots of great free sci-fi models, mostly in Livewave format. Of course there are many sites with obj and 3ds downloads.
You would think that more places would carry vob files, etc. Even Rendo seems to be getting away from it.

Thread: Thoughts on Cornucopia Club | Forum: Vue
I also have Vue 10 Studio and want to add Ecopainter module. They do have occasional specials, but only on specific modules and only for the latest version (Vue 11 now). I have never seen Ecopainter included in any of these specials. However, I do have the Club and like it. You get a $5 voucher each month that you can use on voucher eligible items and they also have Club specials each month including many items for 99 cents or even less. Most of the objects that I have are things that I have picked up on sale on these monthly deals, items that would normally cost $9 or more for only 99 cents. This includes some excellent deals on tutorials. I usually use the $5 voucher to add new plants and trees to my collection.
Thread: atmosphere black | Forum: Vue
I can't confirm those steps, but I have had occasional problems on Vue 10 Studio where renders come out completely black. Normally if I save the scene, close Vue and then reopen it will work properly. I have no idea what causes this problem.
Thread: vue 7 from the ground up , any use for for 10 | Forum: Vue
One other question. Is the scaling issue just for Iborg64's benefit since he is used to Vue 7? I started out in Vue 9, but only with limited use. Now I've got Vue 10 and I'm trying to spend the time to learn the program. Will the scaling issue affect me?
Thread: vue 7 from the ground up , any use for for 10 | Forum: Vue
I right-clicked the main camera and chose edit object as suggested. It shows the display gamma as 1.80. Next to that is an edit button. When I click that it shows the dispaly gamma, input gamma and output gamma all as 1.80, but it will not let me change it. The only thing it will let me do is turn gamma on or off. I don't have a scene loaded, I'm just trying to set the options. Maybe it will only work with a scene loaded??? Another dumb newbie question, how will changing the gamma from 1.8 to 1.0 affect the image? I've always just used Poser so Gamma is new to me.

Quote - Change the scale of Vue 10 to 0.1 and set your gamma to 1.0 for rendering.
Newbie question. Where do I go to change the scale and the gamma settings? I have Vue 10 Studio.
Thread: Free legit Adobe apps, from adobe! :) | Forum: Vue
Quote - Oops, Forbes got a response and no you can't download and use unless you have a CS2 license. I'm now wondering if it is a trap for the pirate crowd.
I downloaded it last weekend when this thread first appeared. There was nothing said about having to have a prior CS2 license (which I don't) and a universal serial number was provided. Normally for an update you have to provide a serial number for the previous version before you can download; that was not required. I am a longtime PSP user, but decided to try CS2 since it was free and that are so many brushes available. Have not had a chance to use it yet.
