Yes thank you Deecey I saw your post earlier and went to update my invidia and the whole system crashed on restart really scarey never ever happened on this machine before 1 year running now. So I am goign to try some other things before trying that again. crashes on empty scene too.

thanks folks, Now I updated the video driver thinking that might be it, restarted and BSOD crashed the whole thing. Had no PS2 keyboard so went to work to get one, loaded last known good configuration and I am back but shakey - me i mean no the computer. I will test a bit more and repost thanks for your support. Does poser 6 need to be installed on the C drive? I installed it on the E drive since it has so much more room I wanted to migrate over?

stealing bandwidth from the company!?! how could we!?! My cable regularly clocks at 3.7 Mbps wich beats the T1 at my lame work network of 1.5 I am reluctant to switch to DSL but its way cheaper. Happy downloading everyone.

oh very good randym77 - I would fear the network going down just as the download is at 99% and not being able to reset it on Curious Labs end until all the other downloads have finished. Sort of a download purgatory.

I like to check the galleries of everyone who posts a comment and it is so heartening to see a positive comment from someone whose art you truly admire. It also makes me feel good to post long winded effusive comments on images in galleries that seems to not be getting the attention they deserve. I posted to one such artist whose work I found simply perfection and the next thing I knew he had bought one of the items on my wishlist for both of us. What is more, I - as a fellow newbie - have discovered the power of the favorite artists list. It is like a tangled web within the web and is a powerfull resource for finding like minded artists. If someone likes my work, I check their work, usually love it, then I check thier favorite artists list and find a ton more work that I otherwise might have missed. I think this might be the source of some of the gripes people have about clique-ish behavior when it comes to voting and commenting. I can now spend an hour just looking at art posted by people I have added to my favorite artists list and forget to look through the new postings of other people. I love the favorite artists feature but it might be having the unintended consequence of denying exposure opportunities for new folks. Just a thought.

A member was about to quit (or at least he said he was) because his images were getting so little traffic and it was all going to boobs etc. I did a study of his entire gallery and mine for comparison. His total hit to comment ration was 10 to 1. For every 10 hits he got 1 comment. Mine was like 80 to 1. For every 80 hits, 1 comment. I think that is a sign of his images superior artistic interest and my works more male-adolescent-prurient-hollowness. He was greatly heartened (or at least he said he was) and is still posting to this day. I was happy to have shed some light on his situation and lift his esteem.

I am perplexed by this term Photorealistic. I know what they mean but I never considered Photographs Realistic. The eye handles everything differently than a camera, we just take photographs for granted. I think if you showed a photograph to a person who for some reason had never seen one, they would wonder about his strange 2 dimentional approximation of what their eye sees. Just some thoughts.

Ah but hauksdottir those are professionally done renders by the CL people themselves. No amateur could ever hope to create art such as this. We could easily tell such posers from the positively palpable proper Poser posters by a quick glance.
