^^ annoying, I actually have a rather nice beefcake render to post and I've uploaded one for the day. >.<

You guys with the patience to mess with hair/fur in Poser6 are made out of iron. I hate working with cloth bad enough as it is, trying to work with dynamic hair is just a tooth grinding experience. Golfclap ;)
Thread: Universal Poses? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Unless they're building self-collision into poser, I don't see how poses can be truly universal - Jessi patting her tummy applied to The Freak for example, or vice versa.

Speaking of sausages, I'm fiddling around with M3 this very minute developing some character concepts. I'll try to improve that 90/10 split there (just as guilty myself).

It is a little unfortunate that the culture here seems to be a lot more about supportive praise than real criticism.
I also have problems with the shadows ... the bed is casting shadows, but the girls aren't casting shadows at all that I can tell.
Shadow from the headboard appears to be cast from a light BEHIND the wall...
Shadow from the baseboard is cast by a light at maybe a 90 degree rotation from the headboard light, which is really, really weird, seems like you have it lit something like:
........./
..bed...
Brass on the bed is a bit too bright, you might play with whatever material you're using to get it to emit less light.
You may want to try to get the lamp to actually act like a lamp; while the image I'll put here is pretty messed up, e.g. the cloth is awful and the light's a bit green, one thing that comes across pretty well is the payoff for trying to make your light come from a real light source in the scene:

Is there any written tutorial or guide that makes the use of magnets a little easier to understand than the manual is? I couldn't get past the huge yellow guide bar that the magnet puts over your model, I realize what they are and what they do but I've just had a lot of trouble with getting any USE out of them.

What happens when you click the Props button, same thing?
Have you drilled in with file browser to the Runtimelibrariesprops directory, is it still there? I can tell from the screenshot you are a Mac user, so I probably don't have too much technical help to offer, but I'd make sure the directory is still there and healthy. It may be that the hard disk has been damaged in a way that makes that directory appear empty or unreadable, or possibly your or some content management bit has moved the directory to a place you aren't looking for it.

Quote - Why am I in this thread? Simple. Because certain on-going efforts to spread poisonous negativity all around need to be resisted.
You can lead the proverbial horse to water, but you can't make him drink. Well, I mean you can, but that's animal abuse.
Thread: Reason 7? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Why isn't that mainstream yet? We're supposed to be using datagloves dammit. That would make things so much easier, if you could just naturally grab, twist, pull, whatever.
That sounds a bit dirty, doesn't it.

Hoping it's going to be basic poly performance, because I have a pretty horsey PC and Poser 6 still runs like a dog.

I don't think there's a lot to be done in Poser itself except to adjust X/Y/Z scaling. The problem you have is that the geometry of the bikini top is simply not cut for the girl wearing it. I suppose you could do it with magnets, but like you I don't "get them" so I wouldn't really suggest that either. If you had 3dsMax 9 (which I do not) it would be trivial to fix the fit of that item and make a new .OBJ of it:
http://download.autodesk.com/global/3dsmax/featureVideos/max9_cloth_large.wmv
Not trying to sell you 3dsMax, the thing is 2500 bucks, but I have a similar problem and that's really a mouth-watering solution. Alternatives would be manipulating the geometry of the OBJ in a modeling application e.g. Shade or Blender, but be warned that as you change the shape of the clothing model, you can cause yourself a lot of trouble, because you can't remove any polys or vertices, and also your textures may not look right after you change the shape of the model.
^^ well, a small qualifier - you can certainly remove polys if you aren't using textures at all, like if you're applying a shader to get a cloth-like effect.

Can you give some details on what kind of hardware and software you have? PC or Mac, what operating system, what processor and wattage of power supply, what kind of video card etc? Does it ever give you any kind of alarming dialog box? Is there anything like a pattern of events that you can see that comes before the crash e.g. during rendering, moving files or the like? To me, your crash problem sounds like it could be caused by a lot of things:
overheating video card (I've had this happen and it can make the screen go haywire like you describe)
failing power supply like already mentioned, or possibly its wattage is too low to drive all the hardware bits you have installed
Those are the two big items imo, but it really could be a lot of things. If you are running Windows XP, you can try looking in the Even Log (Start Menu -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Event Viewer, and look in the System log, or possibly Application) ... look for Errors (red circle with a white X in it). Maybe you can find a little information there.
