Thread: Render engine skips to the end. | Forum: Vue
Yeah, had the very same problem when attempting to render anything over 3500 pixels in size. I asked here and had a discourse with E-ON about it.
They said it works for them too.Why not for us eh!
I have similar specs to yours except only 1gig ram.
Would love to hear of a way around this!!

Thread: Render Sizes | Forum: Vue
It's the progress bar down on the bottom left of the screen. It says that it is writing before it actually renders!
I am asking a lot out of my system, I am rendering big in ultra & 300dpi.Also lots of reflective materials with are making a 3200 pixel image guess at around 72hrs to render.
This is the biggest render size I have managed to get so far without the hiccup occuring.
Cheers for your help!
Regards Rokol.

Hi Gebe,
I am rendering to disk, so I can create large art prints.
I have only just got my new computer and there is over 100gigabytes of space left. Sometimes it says that the file will be say 800mb and do I want to continue? If I say OK, it writes immediatly and stops rendering!
Has anyone else tried to render to a large finished size of say 5200 x 3900?
Regrds Rokol.
Thread: No Support For Vue | Forum: Vue
Are you as aggressive as this to E-on support? Then perhaps I have answered your question with a question! I have always got good response to any queries, perhaps you can write with a little less anger and stop hassling Gebe! This forum doesn't need whingers like you anyway! Rokol.
Thread: Vue Professional edition | Forum: Vue
Some of us hobbyfolk aspire to become professional and could only afford the budget end of the market when we started out. Perhaps they want to take us with them as they improve their sofware, give us fledglings the chance to compete with the big boys. Well done E-On!! More plants, more plants! I hear painting by numbers doesn't tax the mind too much!! Rokol.

Hi, Xfrog plants will import, but they cannot carry animations. Only plugins for highend stuff like Maya last time I looked! Don't know if they have plans to write anything, perhaps if we hassle them a little!!
Thread: QuickTime (MOV) Annimatinon Format | Forum: Vue
Hi Chuck, Best to render as full frames uncompressed AVI and then use an editing program for quicktime output. PUREMOTIONS editstudio is very good and easy to use, I got a free demo of an early incarnation which gives me no restrictions except MPEG2. The full program isn't too expensive anyway. You can get better control over your output this way. regards Rokol.

Hi Dale, if you select main camera and then hit the animation tab top right a drop down menu will appear. if you then select track the dancer(have selected cube in my case) the camera will follow. You will still have to manually move the camera around, but the figure will stay centred. Hope this helps regards Rokol.
Thread: Vue will support Poser 5 ! | Forum: Vue
Fantastic! I thought I had wasted my money. I only really got P5 to add some figures to my Vue renders. gonna crack on and learn some Poser now.

Hey Ironbear, do you think that was a photo of himself? He could of done some heavy postwork on it before he posted!! Guess he won't be back, well done to the mods for disposing of him.
Thread: Poser 5 in VUE | Forum: Vue
Yes! This is my very same problem, contacted CL support and they say they plan to patch this at a later date. Hope CL survive long enough to do so!! I have managed to export a figure as OBJ file and get some of the texture maps over to Vue, but you have to click through the folders yourself to find the maps. Happy hunting! It is way from perfect but will give you something to work with, you can add your owm textures once in VUE regards rokol
