Have you made sure IK chains are turned off on both the figure and the shoes? It regularly messes me up if they aren't.

Maybe pictures of discarded clothing? You could paste them in as postwork, or I think there's a tutorial listed on this site on how to turn a 2D object into a 3D one (I think it's just putting it on a flat square with a trans map) that would probably work.

Wow, Little Dragon, you answered fast. She's an original. After being duly blown away by Bloodlust (if you haven't seen it and you're a D fan at all, you HAVE to. I loved the original and Bloodlust leaves it in the dust. The only thing I didn't like about it is the fact that I didn't get to see it in a theater!), I was inspired to write as well. (The curse of a fan fic writer. When I watch something I truly love, I desperately want to be a part of it somehow. But hey, it's fun.) I've never read the novels either, sadly. My spirit sister has a copy of Amano Yoshitaka's art book which has a story in it, but sadly, that's in Japanese. (Beautiful art, though.) So, all I know about his hand is that it's creepy. And it gets some pretty good one-liners. :)

With a bit of tweaking, my sit-able Tunica for Posette might work. It's here in the freestuff, or at my website, linked above.Thread: Meet my Pre-teen fairy (faerie) Deedee ( half nudity) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I usually don't like realistic textures, but this one is very nice. You did a good job on it. The only nit I see is that she looks a bit tired around the eyes.

I've got an idea on where to start looking for closeups of hands; what're you typing with? Smack it down on a scanner (well, you might want to put a sheet of clear acetate down first, or at least have with Windex handy ^_~) and there ya go. Talk about a personal touch. : ) The faery looks great, BTW.
Thread: Posette Clothing to fit Vicki....Yeah, I know.... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Well, if someone will help me get channels for 4 more body parts (she says shamelessly), I could finish up the Quick Conform pose file to set them in, oh, probably an hour or two.
Thread: It works! It works! Mike's Quick Conform should be up soon. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
It does completely different things. The Quick Conform Pose file is to make it easier to make new clothing, while the Conform command puts an already-finished piece of clothing on a figure. One of the most time consuming and tedious (at least for me) parts of making a new item of clothing is setting all of the joint parameters so that the item will fit properly when conformed. At least ideally, the Quick Conform pose won't make a significant difference when it's applied to a finished item of clothing, but will fix it when a brand new still-in-the-making figure is conformed and jumps up into the air or wads up in a ball or something. I hope that helps clear things out. I'm never sure how good I am at explaining things.

Feetie pajamas would be fun, but I was talking about just normal pants. The problem I was having, which may be due to problems with the clothes, is that the bottom of the shin wasn't lining up quite right in the z direction. Often that's a problem with the location of the feet.
Thread: Morphs.. poses... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
A lot of poses have morphs saved with them, even pack-in poses. I usually run them through Morph Manager and select "Delete all morphs" to get rid of that. That should solve your problem.

Ah, there's the rub. I don't have Vicky. So if someone could do me a favor -- no no no, I'm not asking for someone to send me Vicky. ^_~ If someone who does have Vicky could follow Bloodsong's tutorial to make a blank conformer, copy the channels for the head, upper neck, and the toes into the file I've got linked there (it's a blank pose file), and then send it to me at fyrespiryt@insightbb.com, that'd help me a bunch. It should be pretty easy to copy just the channels if you use Morph Manager.BTW, Bloodsong, I just wanted to mention that you are a really cool person. I love exploring your site. :)

I tried the tutorial with Mike to make absolutely certain I was doing it right, and he seems just fine. Could there be something weird about Stephanie? I notice when you bring her into a scene, she's in a pretty weird position.
