thanks... for the comments... the truth is i had given up on poor Judy.. but with the new face room update..v3 has some competition.. I spent 4-5 hours with v3 with no luck... i know most of us including myself bashed judy .. the fact is i was able to do the face morph in under 20 minutes with Judy.. Nick

yup... as soon as i go to the pose room it's all gone when i play back the animation... but the strangest thing is that i see it draping and doing it's stuff while it calculates.. i'm sure i'm missing one step.. i don't understand why it's not saving it.. (my animations are always looped, just thought about it... but it should make a diference)

Poser 4. Poser 5 works fine, the extra features are nice but more of a novelty than anything you'll be using on a regular basis. The extra features where fun for about a month, but too slow and poorley implemented.

As a casual user of poser and some one who can't afford pixel logic, lightwave, max or any other high end program this news is no news for me. I've already invested $350 for P5 and was willing to invest a bit more (max $50) for high end version of the face room and better lightning. That would have made me happy.. I guess I'll have to wait to see what DAZ has to offer, because I certainly can't afford to buy lightwave to get some decent lighting... Vue might be an option.. but then again that's not the market they are after any more.. (the hobbyist,artist). Thank's for nothing...

happens to me about 50% of the time... very annoying.. only solution i know is to delete the previous set of lights before adding a new light set.. deleting them one by one can take forever... do a search for python in the free stuff.. there are a few python scripts that will reset the lights alamanos

Probably cause she's butt ugly and looks like and alien took a poop in hear head. I tried seriously for a whole month to come up with some nice characters for her. But I failed, so I went back to Vicky after a few weeks, witch is what I figure most people did. The face room is nice, but the fact that they limited it to 512x512 for texture mapping pretty much rendered it a toy. Curious labs designed the face room and Judy as a throw away to get people to buy poser. You can't do any serious work with them, not enough body morphs and the geometry is too weak. Curious labs had an opportunity to surpass Daz with Judy and Don, but they blew it. Too bad, becuase Judy had potential. alamanos

Do a search on python in the free stuff.. there is a dim lights script that dim ligths by 5%... or something close to that.. there is also a script for making lights brighter..

Plugging are the way to go... no question in my mind.. at all.. why pay for Dynamic clothing.. if I'm never going to use it.. I've got P5.. I paid an extra $100.. for stuff I'm never going to use.. and the stuff I wanted wasn't even there.. (proper lighting) .I want to pick and choose.. It's like Daz telling us... you want Vicky... well in order to buy Vicky.. you've got to buy the entire millennium family. makes no sense to me... Nick

"Why should we pay extra for the face room when that is one of the major draws of the program?" I want it for free.. but manual does say 512x512. the face room does work. I admit it could be better, but they didn't bullshit us. The facts are there in the manual wich we all had availble to us before purchase of P5. It all has to do with money.. as it should. CL bought the rights to the face from some one else.. they bought the rights for 512 x 512 exports.. (I think). I'm sure if they bought the rights for 2048 x 2048 exports it would have cost them more. At that point they probabbly would have said forget it, the face room is not worth it. They'd have to charge an extra say $50 per licence.. I'm making these numbers up... but I'm sure it's something along those lines. Nick

Hi Raminus, I know looking at the art gallery for Vue... I think it's probabbly the nicest gallery on Rosity. Hat's off to all the vue artists. But a question.. if I do buy Vue.. with out poser 4. so i won't be able to import scenes.. how about if i import obj files. do I loose the transparency and bump maps, like Bryce does. or are figures imported as wavefront objects intact with their materials and transparecies. Thanks (but guys hurry up with the link... I really want to buy Vue. Don't take too long.. becuase if Daz comes out with their version before you guys finish the patch, i'll probabbly buy the Daz program (If it's any good) and wait a few months to get Vue)
