Okay guys and girls, I am taking the site down for future investigation and for less headache for both me and you all :)
I will see if I can host the tutorial images (that is if I find them) anyway :)

Thread: Now that you ALL have Poser 5 ... easy ClothRoom tut inside! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
huh? Avast going bonkers on images that are not existing anymore?
I'd advise you to recheck your pc and all this, LostinSpaceman, I have Avast as well and guess what? It is known to make problems out of nothing, as well as AVG, so switching the Scanning web (HTTP) traffic off will surely help.

Quote - Is there some chance to get this thread updated please? None of the images by 4BlueEyes are showing up anymore...
Wow, that was ages ago! While the comments under each non-showing image are quite explanatory for the step it describes I will look around my HDD to see if the images are still around.

Thread: Disappointed With the New V4 Elite Morphs... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL

"...noone wants to be beaten to death with accusations in bad texturing when the problem is in the mesh and UVmapping."*
*The question then becomes, is something being done to correct the mesh and UVmapping so this sort of thing doesn't happen? It's all tied in together. If one underlying part fails, the rest falls apart. I realize this issue is not necessarily with the vendor making the texture. I am glad vendors are refusing to make more detailed textures until this issue is resolved. That make sense to me. No one should want to put out something that just isn't going to work properly given the underlying issues.
IMHO there is no actual issue to fix in the mesh anyway, if the uvmapping were made to look good with arms down, then it will look totally wrong when arms are up, it is a lose-lose situation. Unfortunately native poser rigging limitations are causing this and there is mostly no way around it.
The problem is not in mesh or uvmapping shortcomings, it's in the public attitude.
And about the morphs already present for V4 - I better get an one click solution than decide to devote hours to dial-twisting :D
Thread: Disappointed With the New V4 Elite Morphs... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - Understood. I know the morphs are at issue on this thread, but I have to say that I do feel that the rest of the Elite line is, IMO, definitely not worth the money. (IE, the Amy texture with it's stretched, distorted freckles on the shoulders. That's just inexcusable.)
This is exactly why a lot of merchants I know are refusing to create more detailed and realistic textures - noone wants to be beaten to death with accusations in bad texturing when the problem is in the mesh and UVmapping. The longer one is going to refuse supporting vendors who work hard on raising the overall quality, the longer one is going to buy smooth floodfills with no details whatsoever.
Coming back to the Elite morphs - these three morphs are perfectly fitting to classical fantasy/pinup /sci-fi body shapes :) I fnd it hard to recreate these shapes with existing Morphs ++ While the hean morphs are more like a bonus addon, the body shapes are really helping in recreating Vallejo, Frazetta, Ravenscroft or Delamare imagery - something more out-of-the-box than your average poser NVIATWAS :)

Thread: Hide / unhide parts of the body in a pz2 file ? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
make a text file like this and save it as a .pz2 : ------------------------- { version { number 4.01 } actor upperJaw:1 [or any other exact name of a needed part] { off } actor lowerJaw:1 [or yet another part you need to hide] { off } [etc etc] } -------------------------------- for unhiding the bodypart change OFF to ON :) hope this helps and rendo forums do not screw the file format :D Michal 4blueyes
Thread: IBL Brights from 4Blueyes | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Most of the times AO with IBL can bring even the strongest PCs to their virtual knees, particularly if lots of transmaps are used in the scene. Rendering the scene twice might be the solution: 1. With AO on everything except the hair/other offending object (by turning the Visible in Raytracing option off in Properties) 2. With AO turned off in IBL Properties but Visible in Raytracing turned ON - this way the hair will cast shadows but will not kill the machine with AO calculating. and combining the two renders in postwork later. Hope this helps and sorry for finding this thread so late :( Michal 4blueyes

I also have found that having the Collections opened slows down the preview to a snail pace so after I use the collection stuff I have to click back to Categories to have the Preview comfortably useable :D Michal
Thread: P5 Startup problems | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
From what I remember .dyn file only contains the information about the cloth calculation, not the clothing prop itself. Poser5, particularly sr4, broke the clothroom beyond recognition too, so it might be simply buggy. My guess is that pz3 references your clothing item where it is on your hdd and you could possibly move it somewhere. Best idea would be creating the dynamic cloth prop, saving it to the props library and loading it from there for calculations. This way all object info is stored inside the prop file. At least this is wat I can guess :) Haven't been working with poser5 for ages. Michal 4blueyes
Thread: Poser Content Management - my approach | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - OK, noted with thanks.
I have not used the poser 7 Content Collections much because deleting them seems to be impossible for me. I just seem to get more and more Content collections in my library.
You can delete them directly in operating system from outside of Poser in "Poser 7RuntimeLibrariesCollections". Thy are simply shortcuts to the proper items so there is no harm in getting rid of them if you don't need them :) Michal 4blueyes
