I parented Ryan to V4 because its a dance routine and I have Ryan lifting V4 so when I move his arm the V4 figure follows exactly it just saves so much time and its right. The only problem with this is that when V4 needs to be back on her feet again and I have to break the parenting and then all hell breaks loose V4 flies everywhere.
Others have suggested to do seperate sequence animations then edit them together but I wish that Poser could deal with this without needing to do that and the same goes for Kinematics in animations. This in my opinion is one of the things that makes Poser very weak with animation.

Thank you I'll give your suggestions a try and see what happens. Sounds like a good way to go. :)

Thread: Animation question - help appreciated | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hi aRtBee,
Well, I guess I break the cardinal rule and make my animations a lot longer because I want to see the animation sequence completed.
It seemed reasonable to me too to break the link with the Set figure parent but this ends up in a mess but your comment about creating another animation that completes this and can follow it is perfectly right but I tend to loose the creative flow completely when I have to break up a sequence without completeing it in one segment.
What do you use to put a series of animation sequences together into one project?

Hi Phil,
Interesting what you say but if so then kind of crazy I think! I should have also said that the same thing happens in the keyframe editor window when you turn on Kinetics also.

Hello Guys,
Thank you for your replies.
I don't want to broadcast the merchants name in public I don't think that that would be right. But I will say that it is a character 'Head Morph and MAT' package which does not include any body morphs. The package is actually very well done and is available on Renderosity but the vendor has slipped up here by not including Unistallers. Whether this is just inexperience or negligence I do not know.
I am going to post a public request asking that merchants include Uninstallers with their products. Unfortunately it will not resolve my current problem its a real drag! I have spent hours creating a character body morph and now the third party head can't be removed. Its also my mistake for not making a master copy and testing the head out on that instead. Oh the fun of it!!!!!

Hi Lesbently,
Thank you for your reply. I tried what you suggested and set the dial to -1. It has restored the default head morphs, however the third party eye morphs have left my head badly messed up. The eye sockets of my character are now much larger than the eye ball is. This is what happenes when artists don't include an uninstallers with their packages!

Thanks but this would set the entire morphed figure to zero and its just the head that I want to zero back to its default state.

Hi Les,
Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately I have no idea how to export the head in its current state and save as an obj file. I should know but I do not :(

To markschum
I tried using your script but it gave me an error message, here it is:
File "C:UsersBarryDesktophead script.py", line 8
ย ย ย if parms: for parm in parms:
ย ย ย ^
IndentationError: unexpected indent
ย
Not sure what to do about this.

Thanks markschum
I thought that doing it manually might be the way of doing it and as you say its going to be a longgg job but thank you for the script, sadly I have forgotten how to use this script with Poser I'll read up on it.
I wish that artists would remember to include uninstallers with their products. It was the way of it for a long time but over the last few years its become the norm to not bother adding an uninstaller so this is the kind of problem that happens when you need to revert back to the default V4.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. That was it! A zillion thanks. Some how the play range head got moved to frame 332 and was saved at that setting.
That control is in such a bad position on the screen. Especially with a hi-resolution monitor where everything is much finer and the image is smaller and its so close the horizontal window control bar and is so easy to unintentionally move and mess up.
Thank you again!

@ shvrdavid
I've looked at the base layer and it is the only layer in the movie and there appears to be no problems with it.
