I installed then uninstalled. It appears that they've improved workflow in terms of keyboard action, but they've blocked essentially ALL existing Python. I've got hundreds of scripts that I use frequently for work and play, and I'm not going to revise all of them from TK to WX just to make a new version work. If they open up the use of TK, there would still be some minor revisions needed but not total rewrite, so it might be worth the trouble.

There wouldn't be a point in telling you about my scripts because they're mine, not commercial. I use them constantly in both paid work and fun.

The main point is that you've broken just about ALL scripts by switching Python versions. Many of the vendors or authors have either moved away from Poser or died, so they can't revise even if they wanted to.

You should either make the version optional or go back to the previous.

Bondware needs to fix this. I'm not going to modify a thousand scripts just to satisfy a version change. Netherworks can't modify his scripts because he moved on to other work. PhilC moved on to other work. D3D moved on to a better world where people aren't forcibly imprisoned and forced to wear muzzles and forced to keep up with microsecond-scale Github switches in every aspect of life.

Unfortunately the reinstall is impossible because Python's official installers will no longer even work on Windows 7. So it's up to Bondware to fix this if they want to have Python functional on Poser. I'm NOT GOING TO SWITCH TO MALWARE 10 just to make a few new features available.

This might mean that the P12 installer simply isn't putting the Tkinter location into the Windows registry? Or competing with the registry location for P11, which is still installed?

TkInter is there in the python/libs folder, but it's not being recognized when Poser starts a script. "No module named Tkinter"

No, I take it back. You've killed TkInter, which kills most of the Python. I'm not going to spend half my time rewriting a thousand useful scripts.

Unless there's a way to reinstall TkInter, this is a deal-breaker.

The 'log' is also a nice new feature, not advertised. It's always helpful to go back and see what happened and what I did.

Just for extra verification, can you have both 11 and 12 on the same computer? I don't want to replace 11 until I see that 12 is better.

I think Poser UI Prefs would be the one to rename first.

I've formed the habit of keeping a folder next to the '11' folder, containing the last good versions of all the files there. When the palettes get weird, I can just copy everything from the 'saved' folder into the '11' folder.

Flash has been "dying" for 10 years now, and still hasn't died. The security issue is meaningless. Lots of platforms have security issues. Even the SSL platform, allegedly the bank vault of security itself, turned out to be hackable. When a system remains popular despite all attempts to kill it, sooner or later the competitors who are trying to kill it give up.

I have several OLD scripts that do this job in various ways. Some of them may need a small fix to work in P11. I know the fix and can do it instantly.
