There may be partial downloaded files in your downloads folder. It's best to clean those out before trying again. That will be Downloads\Poser Downloads\Included. (Paste this into File Explorer: %userprofile%\Downloads\Poser Downloads\Included\ )
Indeed the partial files are there, so over time the SSD will get full, now I can't find anywhere in the preferences to change that directory.
I have my Poser runtimes (all the way back to Poser 3 on drive G which is 8 TB so it shouldn't be an issue if I can sort out what appears to be a hard coded link.
Thanks for that.
I am going to try adding a symlink so as the downloads for Poser go to my Poser Runtimes directory on G drive.
Unless any knows where to change the download directory easily.

Tanks for the response to my question, at least with that information I have a bit more information that has helped me make my decision.
As I have a A$700 Geforce RTX 3060 currently on order, I don't think the budget will stretch another to another A$140 for Poser 12 and then most likely having to outlay again within a couple of months, so I think I will sit on my hands until Poser 13 release date is announced.
Cheers!

I've recently bought a GTX 1660 and with Poser Pro 11.3.818 I've found my renders in superfly have been much much faster so far. when compared to superfly renders with my GTX 960.
I may be an outlier here as I've read that Turing based cards render slower.
That seals it then - that's good enough for me - a GTX 1660 it is then
thanks folks for your input...

My only issue was the older P11.2 didn't recognize the RTX and newest GTX GPUs. Once P11.3 came out, that issue had been addressed.
Echoing Miss B, I have a GTX 1060 on 6GB, even in 12GB of RAM, I never had a problem doing Superfly renders. Now getting 'fast' renders may be an issue.
I am not expecting Superfly to be blistering fast.

Interesting - conflicting replies, doesn't make it easy to decide if I am going to drop $AUD 450 on a new video card.
Any other suggestions then for an alternative?

Thread: What do you use Poser for? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Basically I use Poser in conjunction with Carrara these days for parody / debunking videos of doomsday YooToob channels, such as Planet X, Nibiru, sun simulators, channels that seem to think lens flares, natural cloud formations and sun haloes are some portent of the end of the world, Chemtrails and the "amazing" claims of a certain PhD physicist, who should know better than the garbage she publishes. As well as creating static characters for other members of the debunking group I am a member of.
So I am learning a great deal about animation on my journey.

How about someone tracking down Basil and seeing if the code for ShaderWorks Library Manager can be purchased and integrated into Poser? IMHO the libraries pane is something that has needed a complete overhaul for a long time....

Re-saving the poses worked...
Also as randym77 said, the poses are actually using morphs instead of poses, so that may be of assistance with anyone else in the future using 3D Universe's figures

Sorry, I don't have that figure to look at the innards of the CR2. What happens if you apply poses for another figure, or apply those poses to a different figure? Does it still go back to the origin? It might be possible that the poses contain BODY actor translations which force the figure back to the origin.
If you're comfortable with editing the pose files, that would by one solution, another could be to create a new scene, load the figure, apply each one of the figure's poses at successive frames, then save the pose at each frame back out to a different library folder WITHOUT checking the Body Transformations checkbox.
That should allow you to apply the poses in future without forcing the figure back to the origin of the scene.
Thanks, I will try re-saving the poses, it seems that if it works, it's a way better option than messing around in the pose files, as I'm not really sure what to look for. I did find this interesting though in the pz2 and wonder if this has something to do with things...

Lights
Not sure about anyone else, maybe I am the only one with this problem, but I dread loading lights, one can get by with most of the sets out there at the moment, but that's a bit like cheating.
I absolutely hate loading a light, then finding it, particularly when it is in a big scene with other lights, why does a new light not come in at zero position? I would envisage some sort of setup like Carrara, where I can select the type of light I want and drag it into the scene roughly where I want it, at least this way would save trying to find the loaded light and then moving it to where it is needed or using that "light ball" that always been in the interface.
As I said maybe it's just me...

Will 11.3.816 do anything that my current 11.3.813 doesn't, apart from the setup room? The release notes still say Poser 11.3 - Released 2020-03-19 I really don't want to go through the extra steps of getting my plugins and scripts working again if it's not really essential, because at this rate it is beginning to look like something that will have to be done weekly

OK Poser just told me there was an update available - The .exe file shows File Version 11.3.813.0, I'm currently on 1.3.740. What benefits from this upgrade and what files need to be downloaded? Do I need to download the content files again or just the 3 main files?
TIA

Quick question where does Bondware stand on patches for older versions as most likely some of us would have them archived?
