this isn't pure poser 8 tech. i took some of what the tuts you guys directed me to and incorporated that and came up with a solution. I first created a sphere and surrounded it with spot lights. then parenting the lights to the sphere i was able to move them where i wanted the light to be. then deleting either the top half or the bottom half of the "light sphere" and then deleting the sphere itself i was left with directional lights where i wanted them. By selecting which lights to leave and which lights to delete i was able to pinpoint where the lights pointed at. the rest is a simple matter of light color and intensity. and by determining what kind of light it is (spot, point, direct) and so forth it allows me to change the mood.

well if producing what i am looking for would be better( and more easily) achieved by exporting my models to another app....what app should i use?

no i found where it wants me to put everything so i can load just about everything i have but the main characters. the default runtime is c:documents and settingsall usersshared documentsposer 8 contentruntime.
it wants to install the m4 and v4 characters in the poser 8 root folder in
c:program filessmith microposer 8runtime.
the problem is i can see all the stuff i install when i put it in the location at the top but when i install to the root folder location i can't find the daz people.
how can i change where poser 8 looks for its runtimes?

I do do a lot of animation but to be honest it is in the four legged variety. Poser 6 is rather lacking in the walk designer area when it comes to animating four legged creatures rather than two. I was wondering if poser 7 made any leaps forward in that area.

Thread: poser to flash | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I have been able to creat the poser model and import it as seperate frames into flash and then build a flash movie of a bird flaping its wings. the animation is composed of 60 different layers eash with its own fram of the movie. It plays well but I have no idea how to turn this 60 layer beast into one flying bird sprite that I can then copy and creat a flock of birds that will fly accross my flash page. Does anyone know how to use flash well enough to know how to do this? please help.

Wont work. I need the model to be its own individual sprite. The background I am using is a gradient and would be almost if not totally impossible to use in poser and have it seamlessly be incorporated into flash. The model must have a transparent background.

this is kind of how I thought it would work. I take a poser figure of like a bird. green screen the background and render a flight scene like a walk in place walk path. aka the bird just flapping its wings. I render the scene frame by frame and then import the frames into Photoshop where I can quickly remove the background and save the file as a ping file. This will give me the model frame by frame in movement with a transparent background. I import all the frames into flash and tween the frames to make a seamless sprite of the bird in flight. I can then create a motion path in flash and have the bird fly across the screen. This should work with any model or animation. I was just hoping for a quicker method as this would take all day.

Thread: *H*E*L*P*!!!! What are the very best Poser angel wings????? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - I also vote for the Angelyna Wings. With Tiff's textures.
They do look better if you reverse the normals and/or click "normals forward."
Also, there's a freebie at RDNA that adds EasyPose to the Angelyna Wings.
anyone have a link to this? I went there but couldn't find it.
