OK I'm back. So I now have Poser 6.....nice! I apply the textures to Ezster manually in the materials room, no problem. Her face still looks a little plastic and not quite matching the rest of the body so I'm wondering if there are other settings I need to look at. I'm getting closer but not quite there yet.

ah, well I'm using P4 at the moment (will be upgrading to P6 in another 2 to 3 months) so maybe that's the problem. Although the product description doesn't mention anything about it not being P4 compatible (except for specular maps). Maybe I need to contact the vendor. Thanks!

Got it! Works nicely! Thank you EVERYONE who took the time to answer my post. I love this forum! Give me a day or two and I will post the pic that inspired this post in the first place. Thanks again everyone!

Thanks for all the tips, but I think I am missing a step. When I click the alpha channel on my foreground, it selects my figure. Then I drag the channel to my background pic. What I get is a solid white representation of my figure. Then what? Do I drag my foreground pic over again on top of that white channel or is their an adjustment I need to make to the layer once it's added to my background pic?

The null solved my problem from the original post. Are you selecting "BODY" on the Null object before loading your Vicky figure? I am using V3 so maybe there is a different issue with V2.

Grey cat, Kevschmev and Ariah, All EXCELLENT work....especially considering you had about 48 hours. They are all great characters. Are any of you interested in making these inj/rem files available? Either as freebies or as purchases? I would love to add them to my growing collection of characters. The work is very stunning.

Yeah, BellaRane looks good but that 700Mghz requirement is a killer for me as I am only 600Mghz. Maybe it's time to upgrade?

I'm on a Mac but I use the freebie "Graphic Converter" and, so far, it works like a charm. You can batch convert too so it makes converting several files a one step process. Having said that, I do agree that most of the best textures I've seen (Morris comes to mind) don't use bumpmaps, so I'm not sure what the benefit is.

OK, I was hoping I wouldn't have to ask but....what is a null? I mean, I know what null is.....it's nothing. But in Poser terms, what is it?

Thanks all. Someone had mentioned exporting one of the figures as a wave.obj and then reimporting it. This would not only help with crosstalk, but it helps on saving memory. I tried it, and it worked except for the the hair and the transmaps came out all funky.

Wow! Thanks for all the help. You've all given me a couple of choices on this procedure. Thanks for taking the time!

I contacted the vendor and figured out the problem. Something went whacky in my unzip process and I only got the ProPack version of the files. So after downloading a 2nd time and using Stuffit, I found the P4 specific files which did, in fact, contain the rsr files. Sorry to waste everyone's time but I learned a lot, so thank you all!

I received the solution from another board. I will post it here in case anyone else runs into the same problem. Since the poses themselves work, simply load the pose onto a Character and make sure the window is square (400x400 or 800x800) and then save it as a new pose with the same name. This will replace the old pose but it's still the same pose and it will automatically create the icon.
