Here's the poser import issue I'm having... When I import a figure, it is exactly 100 times to small. BUT, if I scale it up (X, Y and Z all set to 100) it looks right in the wireframes. But when I render, it is 100 times to big. When I rescale to 1, it is in the correct place and correct scale. My work around has been blow up by 100, place, test render, hit escape, rescale to 1, render. It works, but what a pain.
Thread: OT, Vanishing Act..... | Forum: Bryce
I think the number was more like 23,000,000. And plenty of servers went down after their backup generators ran out of gas late last night.
Thread: Murder- Please crique!!! | Forum: Vue
I love the concept. Here are my suggestions More broken things. Clearly this was a violent murder. A chalk outline, such as the police have already come and gone? A broken window. Add to the drama. lower the viewing angle, it'll make it look more ominous. Great job!
Thread: Images too dark | Forum: Bryce
This wasn't an attempt at pointing fingers at anyone. I just find it interesting that we all seem to calibrate our monitors to our own preferences. Interesting, is it not, that we end up with such a wide range of dark values.
Thread: June Challenge/Sacada Tut Combined!!! | Forum: Bryce
Yes, it is both the name for the front end, and a direction. Bow (Front) Stern (rear) Port (left when facing the bow) Starboard (right when facing the bow) Runwolf... fount of useless knowledge.
Thread: Off Topic - USB Pen Drives | Forum: Bryce
Those USB pens are the absolute fear of security folks. They are so easy to use, require no software, and aren't easy to recognize. In fact, at the place I work... a government installation... we are moving to a stronger public/private key security system, where we have to put our ID card into a computer to sign onto the network. Until the system is base wide, the higher ups have been given a USB key they have to use. Which looks just like a USB Pen Drive. So, the people who keep stuff from disappearing are hating it.
Thread: A great tutorial | Forum: Vue
Okay, why does picture scale=terrain size/45? That's what I don't understand. Can someone explain the why for me?
Thread: OT..Need help deciding what web authoring prog i want | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Here here. I use GoLive, because it lets me manage a large collection of sites with the minimal amount of fuss. But more often than not, I'm going back and hand coding large portions of it because something went wrong or I'm bringing in something from an outside site. The point is, you've really got to know the why to understand the how.
Thread: Freebies Galore - 7 spaceship models | Forum: Bryce
I'm not where I can download these models, but I was wondering if they are Bryce specific or can I import them into anything?
Thread: Clarification on June challenge, please. | Forum: Bryce
To most musicians a "song" would be interchangable with a "piece." Musicians "play" a song. Singers will sing one.
Thread: June Challenge Entry.... WIP | Forum: Bryce
If you add prisoners, you need the relatively small things that prisoners would have or do in their cells. Pictures, scrawlings on the walls, things like that. Really grundge it up. Or leave it cold and sterile... I think the image needs to be at one extreme or the other.
Thread: Something I'm working on. | Forum: Vue
INteresting point, Wabe... Now, to get the effect that I have, the lights and the person are actually inside a column of glass. (diamond I believe). Perhaps the other color lights should be outside of the glass, shining across it? I'll play with it. Of course, more lights... longer render... Ack.
Thread: OT: *Crck* :((( | Forum: Bryce
Fighting over a girl is pointless. Be her friend, and see what happens, but as you learned last time, resorting to violence from a position of weakness means you lose.
Thread: Flame animation | Forum: Vue
It looks to me like you are using a linear manipulation of a single variable. Perhaps if you changed both the frequencey and direction of the variable change it would improve? For example. Instead of going from y=5 to y=1 over the course of your animation, you could increase the keyframes and go with something like y=5, y=3, y=6, y=4 so that your value is shrinking and growing.
Thread: Sound? | Forum: Vue
Well, you can still export your mimic enabled poser animation into vue and render. then take it into quicktime pro and add the sound. fi you keep the same framerate, the sound should follow along just fine.
