Good luck with the data sticks, Ajax! I thought these were great when they first showed up, but then got disappointed when the whole 'no store' thing reared its ugly head.
Keep us posted! (Errrr...on the data sticks, not that H thing...)
Happy rendering!

Yes, you three OBJs will become a single Figure, the doors becoming 'body parts' of the wall.

Ah! Sorry. My misunderstanding.
I think what you need then is the Hierarchy editor which I understand vaguely, but cannot explain by any measure
Sorry

Hey Chris,If I understand what you are looking for, you want to take three .obj (say Barrel cylinder, Barrel top and Barrel Bottom) and make a single .obj (Barrel).
If that is correct, load all three .obj in a scene, position them together, then go to File>Export>Wavefront OBJ. In the hierachy window uncheck Universe (which should deselect everything, then select only your three .obj. Click OK, browse to a place to save the new .obj and call it Barrel.obj.
Open a new scene in Poser and go to File>Import>Wavefront OBJ. Locate your Barrel.obj click OK. Deselect all options on the Import Options window. Your 'Barrel' should load in the scene as a single .obj.
You can now save it as a Prop.
Sorry I don't have time to post screen captures. I hope this makes sense.

Bar-Code said>> So if i spawn a barrel it becomes a lose barrel ?Actually, the Spawn Props will split all groups if I am not mistaken. I tried this and it did make movable barrels in your scene, but it also split the barrel tops from the drums. This could be good or bad
I am a Poser tinkerer. i can usually figure things out, but I am not necessarily a good teacher. I am sure Dr Geep will produce a solid solution for you.
@Geep>> Thanks! I am glad you like my dojo. I really need to update the site though.

Hey Bar-Code,I won't step in on the good Doctor's tutorials. He is a good guy and always does his best to help. I DID want to compliemnt you on your terrific sets. They are wonderfully modelled and offer a great environment with many possibilities.
I just wanted to put in here that sometimes it is simply a mtter of grouping. I was playing with your set, and was trying to get your barrels separated from the floor so I could move them about as separate props. In the Grouping tool, I hit spawn props, and suddenly I could raise the main door using Y-Tran!
Hang in there! Keep up the GREAT work! (FYI, I put in a request to Blues Dragon to see if he would be willing to make a light set for the Sci Fi hall)
Thanks!

Bar-Code, this is a great set piece! I downloaded it yesterday and played a bit. The detail and texturing is great!
I wonder if Blues Dragon has seen it? It is just ripe for one of his light sets }-)
Keep up the fantastic work!

Thread: trying to get an old freebie released-Anyone fluent in English and Japanese? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Remeber that offering Free items is a great way to draw people to your website or storefront. But that only works if everyone has to visit your website or storefront. If one hundred people download, then begin distributing themselves, there goes anything that looks like advertising. It may not even be that the person offering the freebie is looking to advertise their Poser or 3D stuff, they may be selling banner space on their website and generating revenue off ofa consistent volume of traffic on site. The internet economy is less and less about exchanging hard currency for a physical object, or even a digital object. Also, if you want your free items to persist and thrive after you die or leave the community, then YOU should be sure to put a clause about open distribution in your readme NOW. Then you won't worry about needing to remember to change it later. Best of luck in your search!

Fantastic news Stonemason! I was playing with it, and my first thought was how do I go about anchoring the back end so the needle can move about. Now that's customer support for you!
