Hey everyone, It's been a while since i posted, there was a few problems with the kaimira I had to fix and lost the uvmaps. But no worries everyone I won't give up without a fight and get to the deadline of end of march. She's Finely got her ass in poser! Yahhoooo!!!! I though i forego the uvmapping for now it. The model can be easily repleaced. About boneing and creating joints and everything she needs to move. At first i felt pretty overwelmed, but with conforming clothing which i previously had a taste of the setup room it's not as bad as might people would think. About taking bones from other figures or daz3d figures. I thought long and hard about this tactic and thought agaist it for sevral reasons. 1. Possible copyright enfridgment? 2. Protecting myself in long run. 3. I can say it's 100% blood, sweat. :) 4. More advanced features in Kaimira's CR2 5. More bones in the correct spots that a human should have and some extras to make things more realistic. So guys I have loads to do. When yah go from the ground go all the way i say heheh. Here's a few of kaimira in poser for the first time! now u may notice where i have cut her ur most likely thinking is it gonna look that when she's an actually a poser figure? Nope not at all. Once in the poser room that all changes. As we go on i will tell u all. Cheers Seraphira

hey everyone, ok back once again. Now i went into the setup room in poser 5, yes there will be support for poser 4 pro and poser 5. Anyway's we clicked on body from the dropdown list on kai, since now she's a going to be a figure, Now the name Figure 1 is not the way to name this girl! LOL so we gotta give her name right? i named her Kaimira in the body fields. :) Now she has a name. So I goto bone creation tool and i create the hip bone first since this will be our center right? :D right. Internal must be the same as the body parts. and then i'll start to work on her right and left butt, legs and soforth. Then i'll create the tummy chest and etc. I will show u more previews as i add more. Here's a view of what i see. :D Sera

Hey all,

I fix a few flaws in the mesh around the hip and back into poser once again. Now i did her hip and now working on her toes. Here's a quick view so far. There are no joint parameters for her yet. Hermm also when working on her feet she won't have reverse kenmenics if i spelled that correctly. i am not sure if that would be a problem for some users.. please let me know.

What i have so far for body parts that are boned:

Hip
Right and left Buttock
Right and Left Thigh
Right and Left Shin
Right and Left Foot
Right and Left Foot 1 "fixes Foot arch for heels" :P
Right and Left Toe Base
Right and left Big Toe 1
Right and Left Big Toe 2
Right and Left 1 Digit 1
Right and Left 1 Digit 2

That's what I have so far the digits "toes" are named 1 digit from the big to the pinky toe. :) I could figure out the names for the little piggies so tenchical term was digits. :D

Here's a view guys I am gonna go back to boning her toes I will give u more updates.

Hi Xena I do the same thing. it just drives me nuts for creating clothing wise. :) Might as well cut it out all together "inverse Kinematics" heh :) Ohhh yes her bones are finely finished :| Now she's a figure Yahhooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D But she's not poseable yet Now I have to give her joint parameters like bend, twist, and other goodies to make her move! Here's a preview. :)

just out of curiousity, what causes those weird squares? at first i just thought it was at the edge of groups, but now i see it in the head on the side... is that the poser renderer or something poser has actually done to the mesh? or something else altogether? she's coming along nicely! i hope you don't have to redo everything regarding her texturing. it's so great to see her in poser. i really like her shoulders and i agree about the neck movement. if she'll be able to look over her shoulder properly instead of looking like she's part swan or going to star in the exorcist, she'll be more than i hoped for. but then, i'm not sure that's even possible. sending my portion of positive, calming thoughts

Hi dear, Hi Cobaltdream, No worries sweety that's the MLS feature in kai, you won't see that once the configure it in poser. :) Unfortantly i will have to redo her uvmapps because i changed the mesh witch sucks. I am still not happy with part of her neck movement Still needs some more some tweaking though. I will try my best on ur request cobaltdream "looking over the shoulder". :) Sera

nice! that's much better than v3, IMHO, and close to this pic http://www.chloesevigny.com/chloe_pictures/red_lips_over_shoulder_look.jpg found at the Chloe Sevigney site. I like the wrinkle in her neck. mls! i should have realized. that makes sense. sorry you have to redo all that work. i just have to say, i really like ratio of shoulder width to head length.

Posing breasts: Hi everyone. Topic poseable breasts. I had to re edit the mesh three times to get the breasts to move correctly. The worked is starting to pay off. Still the not the best. as u can noticed Up-down feature of the right breast is being used. Still there's alot of tweaking, Users will have Up Down and side to side to play with... I am not sure if i will emplment twist feature as of yet. :) Here's a quick view. Sera

This is really fantastic. I really hope that you can stay away from Vicky 3 JCM morphs (like for their collar down, shoulder and others.) They are unpredictable and makes it a problem when creating conforming clothes. I love the idea of a seperate bone for her breasts. Perhaps you can make it remote control by her shoulders.

Also, have you tried modeling the fiure not in a T Pose? The shoulder bends better with the arms are down when the original model isn't in a T Pose and doesn't make that round bulge like most Daz's figures. The worst is Michael 3.

Lastly, can her legs be longer. ;)

Usually with the round bulge is poor joint setup, as u see in M3 for an example. I'v been taking my time working on each detail of her cr2. See what we can do about long legs in our supermodel versions. :) Sera

hi guys, Sorry about the move, apperently there was complains about this thread from what clint has told me I am not sure who complained, sigh i wish told by the person who had the complaint I would have helped the person, Clint told me of hte problem. I wish i knew sooner so I wouldn't have caused a problem. :) Anyways..... Updates. With my learning processes with joint rotation orders and how the mesh should be cut that is an interesting experance. But I am having problems with the breasts area. I have an idea how to fix the problem, I would need to recut the breast area... right and left breast would need to be attatched to the chest also the bones for the best would need to change to from the right/left shoulder to the chest and also the rotate order needs to be change and that will mean i would have to redo the joint parameters. :| But I plan to do this tonight... Come hell or high water I will get this model released for everyone. :) Keep an eyeball I will post some pictures tommrow.. :D XOXOXO Seraphira

The round bulge is not only a rigging issue is also a modeling issue. You see how the shape of your figure shoulders' are at that T-stance in post 33. While they are anatomically correct but when they bend you get the bulge like in post 28. Yet I can understand the difficulty at getting the rigging right, Poser is a very primitive tool especially for complex set up like realistic humanoids.

hi everyone. wusamah is right, in order to fix i would have to go back to the low poly mesh of the model and re do it. That means redoing MLS. Sigh.... Here' she is with the posed her most of joints are completed but her paws. errr hands. So lets here from u all, should i rework the shoulders in the mesh or leave it as is? Sera I was notified until it was already done chuck honey sorry dear. :(

Well, if you're taking comments on the shoulder...I will just let others speak. I don't know how much work it would be (because I don't model). I also don't know how wonderful it would make the shoulders for posing (how much better than DAZ's unimesh characters) and how many more sales that would translate to. So...I'll let the modeling pros discuss it, Sera (wink).

Honestly, I'm not very knowledgeable about modeling, but I think you will be happier with her if her shoulders are corrected. Even if it means tweaking the MLS. I suggest posting a wire frame of her and maybe someone will spot an easier way to troubleshoot. You're doing an excellent job :)
