Yes! Finally, La Femme 2 will have anatomically correct genitalia thanks to Darkseal. The project is in its initial discussion phase, and the artist wants to know which of the two viable options we, as consumers, prefer. So I invite you to participate in the following forum and share your opinions on what would be most convenient.

Join this new conversation because La Femme 2 will soon have full functional genitals created by Darkseal before the project starts!

I was just told about this, went to check the thread at that site out of curiosity and - do you mind passing some information to the maker from me please (I don't have an account there)? I see a lot of misconceptions there that can be clarified (I made LF2, along with Chuck Taylor/nerd3d, by the way). Might make things easier, and as much as erotica isn't my cup of tea, I don't have anything against others who like it, so might as well make things easier :)

-LaFemme2 Lite's bikini texture is not actually painted on. It uses a mask with material tricks. If you go into materials, you'll see a material option for "smooth"/PG skin - that doesn't have genital and nipples, but it does have the skin around them.

-LF2 DOES have the Mons Pubis and Labia body parts, like LF1. I don't know where this idea started that she doesn't. If you go into her body actor, in the Tools dials, there's a dial to show her body chips. The Mons Pubis and Labia don't work too well on Lite because she's smooth down there, but with the genital detail included in LF2 Pro, you should see them being posed neatly. Though granted, things aren't modeled to go IN anything, she wasn't initially made to be an erotica model.

-Nothing in LF2 Lite is a merchant resource, but most things in LF2 Pro ARE. Not her base mesh, but yes all her textures, her dev rig meshes etc. You guys might wanna chip in and give Darkseal the Pro version so they can have the dev rigs and the merchant resource textures.

-I have NO IDEA how they got her mesh so cut up and jumbled there but I assure you, it's neat and welded in the obj. Reminder that Poser is NOT Unimesh, so things have polygon groups to work. No idea if Maya knows how to deal with this, Blender loads her mesh perfectly fine.

JTOE9B9ePJbCVFkTIiwL7q4ZyKsddmyD6fmrBkvh.png

-Following the Geografting-adjacent method that Chuck explained and redistributing THAT would be a copyright breach - RPublishing owns the rights to LF2. I'd advise to go for the conforming genitals route instead.

I think that's all I remember. I bid them success with the project!

So what if it is..? That has as much validity in art as anything else, people need to grow up and stop being prudes with a stick up their backsides, sex isn't a bad thing, it's just the opposite....

This isn't to debate the good vs evil of porn, but to state my opinion why the topic of accurate gens is somewhat "taboo"

Renderosity is a family-friendly site. Always has been. The Poser product is a family-friendly software application. Always has been. Poser is also sold to the educational market, where minors use it. That's why gens are "off" by default, and the default textures are "non-gen-ified."  Characters that do have gens are given that as an option, not as a default. And in most cases, the gens are probably not as detailed as those who create adult-oriented content would like.

I have no problem with people who create adult-oriented content. Full disclosure, I don't do nudes that often, but if I do they are more "artistic" than "here it is".  However, if I was a parent with under-age children that want to learn how to use Poser, I don't think I'd be comfortable with the prospect of them seeing explicit renders and discussions about things that are probably better covered at 'otica, where there is an age limit on joining.

I'm not trying to create a rant, just explaining a side of the issue that is often not considered.

There's no issue with porn. There's issue with demanding that porn be the default state.

The other site's attachable genitalias are all fine and dandy - they're there for people who want them, and that's great. What's not great is expecting the BASE figure to have that by default, and complaining that the figure doesn't.

LF2 Pro already has a review complaining that she's a bad figure because she doesn't have detailed genitalia by default, "like the Genesis figures" - that also don't! I just wish people would use some common sense with their complaints.

Personally, I don't see anyone on here saying having fully functioning genitals should be the "default" state. All I see is someone posting information that it may be coming for those that want it, so really, people who don't want that, or are not interested in that, don't really need to comment on the rights or wrongs of that [not aimed at you by the way]. If you want it great, if you don't want it great, but once again we see those that don't want it trying to claim the moral high ground over those that do want it....

I would be glad if this will be soon available, genitals are a part of our bodies, like eyeballs and elbows :-)

Considering the sales for the anatomical morphs and hair I did for the Daz figures, I think that the Artists at Rendo would welcome that new option for Poser as well.

I also agree with Ohki, to get the anatomical of the Daz figures I had to buy the pro version of every figure, wasn't cheap at all.  I think any new item for La Femme will be welcome, I am glad to see that this new figure is getting some steam <3

Btw, I am Italian and so I am surrounded from birth by paintings and statues with nudity in every place, churches included. Nudity is not porn, it is only natural. We all born naked after all.

Here giving an update on the La Femme 2 genitalia (vagina/anus) project, Darkseal is doing a great job.

This vagina could be used not just for porn, can be used too on statue replicas, medical purposes, baby born animations and many other projects. The tool will be there but the artist will choose the use.

Also the La Femme 2 Darkseal Edition will comes with lots of body morph dials for almost every part of the body like fangs, elf ears, nose shapes etc. and full body morphs too like midget, fat, slim, bodybuilder, curvy etc.

Darkseal turns the genital project in something extra.

So if users dont have use for the vagina surely will have use for the rest of massive morph dials.

What do you mean LF2 Darkseal Edition? Isn't this a conforming addon, but an edited figure? Be careful Darkseal doesn't run into copyright issues - LF2's figure mesh is NOT a merchant resource.

I think there might be a misunderstanding. From the first page of "that" thread":

Charles Taylor posted 12/4/23 4:35 PM

First off La Femme LITE is a vendor resource. If the figure, OBJ and textures are modified they can be redistributed with out any special permissions. Replacing the hip of the figure with one that has modeled gens would definitely apply as a derivative work. That covers the geometry (OBJ) and figure (CR2). The included textures are resources and modified maps (PNG / JPG) can also be redistributed.

This model can be utilized for the depiction of baby birth animations from an external perspective, capturing the moment when the baby's head emerges until birth. It can be used for creating scenes similar to those found on YouTube or in storytelling. While it is anatomically correct with a focus on the vagina, it can also be used for medical purposes. Depending on the artist's vision, additional anatomical elements such as the uterus, ovaries, heart, or brain can be added to the model. The possibilities are endless, limited only by the artist's creativity.

I wasn't saying you or anyone else were lying. I was checking why I had thought her terms were one thing, and he thought the other.

Basically, I made a good chunk of the work on LF2 considering that her terms of use would be the same as LF1's. The thing is, as we found out yesterday, the terms of use in LF1's Readme file state one thing, and her terms of use on the Poser software EULA state another thing. I knew about the Readme, Chuck knew about the Poser EULA, so we were thinking different things.

I'm now waiting on Bondware's CEO, Tim, to decide what it will be in the end, so everything's clear. :)

Yeah, I was told that this figure was following the same licensing terms as the other figures that get distributed with Poser. I would REALLY appreciate a heads up from the results from the Bondware CEO as the the legality on if I would be required to purchase the pro pack to the the dev rig to the figure that is able to be acquired by simply owning the software. I'm not trying to get around anything Afrodite-Ohki, it's just what I presummed based off of the legalese from the poser documentation, as well as what I thought was a GO AHEAD from the email conversation with Charles Taylor had with Centenox.

As for "how it got so cut up", I post everything in "that thread over there", it's user error importing settings in Maya, I have all the highs and all the lows posted in that thread. I leave nothing out, total transparency.

Please update me on the EULA situation when they have a ruling. I was about to write the readme file for distribution. Thank you!

fun (unrelated) fact. The first purchase I ever made for poser was the Poser 4 Pro pack. It cost twice the amount as the poser software alone, but I thought it was worth it. When it finally got to me I was sooo excited. I opened it up only to find out it was JUST the pro pack. No software included. I had to wait years until poser 6 was released to afford the software. That's my experience with pro packs.

Side note, Tempesta3d, The reason one would have to purchase the Daz pro packs to make figures is because Daz is a free software, and has different licensing because of that. They choose to make their money from the figures sold. Poser is a paid software, and have chosen a different route in their licensing agreement while supplying figures included with your purchase of said software.

In any case, I'd love to hear the outcome of the CEO, so I can move forward for a release.

I didn't see how to edit my previous post (looks like it's time sensitive, i needed to eat some breakfast) so I just added it here. Not trying to bump the thread :P

Darkseal, I didn't think you're trying to "get around" anything - as I said, this is a confusion that came from the first La Femme having different terms of use in different documentations, and because LF2 was made to follow the same rules, this now has to be clarified and decided.

Also, on "didn't find any restrictions", it's the other way around: Poser products have to clearly tell you that you CAN use them as merchant resources otherwise you can't.

On having to go back to V4, I don't think it's that extreme if they decide that her mesh is not a merchant resource. I believe that this could be solved by making a comforming figure that attaches to regular LF2 instead of the entire separate figure. I think this would be even easier: everyone would be able to use morphs made for LF2 for this as well, a comforming figure would work on the Lite and the Pro versions of her the same way, and you wouldn't have to go around restitching meshes and projecting morphs and rebuilding JCMs.

Hi thefixer, I just heard from Charles (Nerd3D), I'm all set. I've used the figure from the lite version to build off of, I am covered by the Poser EULA. This is what I would expect. I did re-read that LaFemme2 Lite readme files a few more times, just to be sure there wasn't any language pertaining to differences in this type of agreement. I don't see any, and would not expect any, when included with your purchase of the software.

side note: I'm still using the V4 model too, LMFAO. I hope this will change things for us. Thanks!

Afrodite-Ohki, sorry if it was a bad choice of words. Poser "clearly tells" its position on merchant resource inside of it's licensing agreement, not on a figure by figure basis, at least not that I'm aware of. If there were any I would expect that information to be kept in a separate readme or license, which is why I went to read your readme in the first place.

As for the JCM's I deleted all of them. IMO they were 100% not needed on this weight mapped figure. My only question is... is there any restriction from letting me make this figure Poser 9 compatible? If I remove SSS I could make her Poser 8 friendly. I just have to change the number at the top of the file... I know the figure is only included in the Poser 11 bundle, but would work in poser 8 weights with no sss, poser 9 with sss. I don't think I'll change it, I just wanted to know the logic if it would be "ok" to do.

side note: I'm still using the V4 model too, LMFAO. I hope this will change things for us. Thanks!

Great news, looking forward to it....

Injustice will be avenged.

There are several figures that are included with Poser, such as the HW3D figures, and the legacy Poser figures (James, Jessi, G2, etc)., that all have their own licensing. Just because the figures come with Poser does not mean they are free to be modified and redistributed. That's why a lot of the legacy figures have inherent problems that can't legally be fixed for redistribution. Some of us have tried but the licensing doesn't allow for it.

As far as I can tell, Poser 11 12 and 13's EULA make no mention of LF1 or LF2, much less their license.

The only license I can find for LF2 is included in her download folder and clearly states that she has the Renderosity standard license (which does not allow for modification and redistribution of the content).

AmbeintShade, Please do not conflate Poser's native license and Renderosity Marketplace License. I did not obtain the LaFemme2 Lite from the marketplace. I will trust Charles Taylor, aka Nerd3D on this matter, as his position supports my understanding of the reading of the license. I would not use this logic to support "why something does not exist". I am aware of, and try to stay up to date with, my legal rights. Thank you for your concern, but I have my interpretation on how Poser vendor resources can be used, what's included in that umbrella of content, and what can be redistributed. I have had no issues in the past with other, multiple, figures.

Try not to spread too much misinformation, even if it's from being uninformed. If you ever have questions you should always do your own research and follow the letter of the law.

Her JCMs for the hips and shoulders activate when two rotations are used at once - dial a front-back and a side-to-side at the same time and you'll see. The ones for the elbows and knees are only activated when those body parts bend to a high rotation.

As for poser 9, I can't remember if it already allowed weight maps? If not, you'll probably have a nightmare trying to rig this with sphere maps.

On trusting Nerd3d's previous words on this, as I stated above, there are still misunderstandings waiting on decisions from the owners of Bondware.

You did not acquire LF2 from Renderosity, but it's the same from many other products that Renderosity vendors donated to Poser's included content and still abide by their original Renderosity EULA. They are listed as "Restricted Content" in Poser's EULA. LF2 has not been listed as either there as of yet and so we're waiting on confirmation. What I do know for a fact is that she was commissioned by RPUBLISHING, which is the store vendor that sells her Pro version, and just because LF2 Lite was gifted to be included with Poser's content, doesn't mean she automatically becomes a Poser vendor resource.

Honestly, I'm not gonna push this matter anymore as none of this is really my problem - I only retain authorship rights over LF2, but editing, redistribution rights etc are no longer mine -, but I'm just commenting all this here to save you from possibly keep doing a lot of work that you might not be allowed to release.

You got her from Posersoftware.com (which is owned by Bondware/Renderosity) just like everyone else that downloaded the free version, and if you look in that download folder you will see her license agreement, which contains the same link I included in my previous post. That is not misinformation that is fact which anyone reading this can go verify for themselves.

If another license allowing the figure to be used as a merchant resource exists somewhere then it needs to be made publicly available for everyone to read, not just word-of-mouth from another forum, regardless of who made the statement.

I can't post Adult links - but if you go to DLsite you can find

"Real Sectional View of Female Genetalia"  by "Choco" the 3D artist - a SUPER detailed and workable, flexible vaginal tunnel and uterus top front cross-sectioned.  Yeah, I know the Uterus bends forward, this is for 'internal' pics but you can flex it like that easily!  Pretty cheap and yes somehow PayPal works there.  There's also tons of neat tentacles and a vore monster.  Nothing you could post here likely but Rotica or private servers of course.

I appreciate you taking the time to look out for your fellow creators. I wasn't relying on word of mouth from just any other forum. I was relying on the word of a person whom I trusted that talked to Nerd3d, and now I have as well. If I can't trust Nerd3d's word then god help us all. I was also relying on the language of the EULA and checked the separate readme for conflicting language. Thank you!

Sorry, I mixed up the last 2 posts from AmbientShade and Afrodite-Ohki and merged them into one reply. Oops! In any case, I hope Nerd3D is right on the money with his replies and trust that, to be fully transparent, he said to me:

"The thread going at R'osity contains a lot of mis-information because of confusion about which license content included with poser is released under. They're reading the Rendo store licenese and believing it applies to the content included with Poser. La Femme Lite is included with Poser therefore covered by Poser's EULA. Which ...

Isn't on the store page like it's supposed to be ... nobody noticed.

So. I'm working with Bondware to make sure that gets fixed. In the mean time La Femme 2 Lite (and only the lite versions) is a "Vendor Resource" The EULA for Poser 12 will contain the same details about what exactly a Vendor Resource is That EULA is in the Poser 12 manual wher it's supposed to be."

Thank you again all. I hope this clears up any confusion, and trust that update will happen.

Interim question: As I have largely taught myself English, I am very careful with license issues. I have made a morphinjection for LaFemme2 Lite, LaFemme2 Pro and LaFemme2 Pro SR1 that adapts to the Victoria 4 head so that the V4 hair can be used more easily. The basis for the INJ is the Figure LaFemme2 Pro SR1. I wanted to make this injection available for download in the Freebie Sector. Can I do this, or do I have to get permission from the copyright holder first?
Kind regards
Bastep
