Only that they are debugging, and testing. Bryces code is old and hard to nail down bugs accross two platforms.
Thread: Nudity in a none nude scene | Forum: Bryce
Its not so much the nudity tags, or nudity being bad, as it is the category switch. No artist wants there art to be switched in category, when it was not intended by the artist(hope that typed right). This is why I sympathize with the artist, and yet still see the Websites reason as well. It would have made me mad too, if I didn't intend it for that "category".
Every site and person can see it differently, and I learned this one way or another. Just don't like to see any hard feelings, so we all can see/enjoy others artistic abilities.

First of all, I like the work you've done(wawadave), and second, don't get discouraged by the way any site handles the content. They like to error on the side of caution, to protect the site and everyone who visits. This site wants you to upload your pics, and I wouldn't take anything like this personaly. I've been to alot of sites that do this kinda thing, and worse, some good, some bad. Also take what AG said too. Hope to see more of your pics soon.

Btw..you may have to make sure everything is re-centered in your scene, or your wireframe will be little off. (for edit)
Thread: Q: Doing things at full screen... | Forum: Bryce
I did this by setting up 1 frame of wireframe animation without composite. First I render a full image, then I rendered the wireframe animation 1 frame, using alt+render button(brings up the render animation screen, and BMP for output). Used with default mixed mode OpenGL(rendered image with wireframe, using OpenGL cube right side of screen). And full screen image came through wireframe and all.
Thread: A single CPU with 80 cores - Available in 5 years | Forum: Bryce
I was reading at TGDaliy.com that a x1950xtx ATI card(in dual mode) has the floating point power of about 31 Xeon 5100 processers. ATI and Nvidia are working on maybe some sort of use for the video card for other processing(to much for me to read now), in near future tech.

That would help Bryce a little wouldn't it, or maybe not j/k. Im still waiting for my GPU to be used now for rendering(yes I said G P U), than wait 5 years for other techs...
Thread: Bryce 5.5 Lightning 2.0, network render application... | Forum: Bryce
Well, I finally hooked up my Network, two computers, with a crossover cable. Using the TCP/IP only connection, Bryce didn't miss a pixel, flawless. No problem at all to setup and learn Bryce Lightning 2.0(10 min tops). The only thing about this setup, that I can find, is that it is only setup for animations. Single frames are sent to the client computer, and the server(your Bryce installed one) just sits there and does nothing but watch the client. How is this supposed to help with a single scene frame?
I was hoping it would show a render in progress on the server side, and the manual says it doesn't. The PDF manual seems to suggest it will help with large image scenes(two computers working on the same scene/frame at the same time), or am I supposed to have more than two computers? Example...my Shade 8 3D app runs both computers CPU networked, on the same frame, and it is quite a bit faster. You can watch both computers render on the same scene at the same time. If Bryce 6 has dual CPU support, I would say its not going to be what people think for speed, if its code is setup like the Lightning. Btw..if anyone needs help with setting up Lightning, let me know.

Tip #4: Use a programmable mouse such as gaming mice, Razer Diamondback or Copperhead, or any of new Logitech programable mice etc..., whichever fits your budget or hand(40$-100$). Make sure they have at least 6 or more buttons, and a high DPI scan rate(800 or higher). You can then program the middle mouse button and any side buttons to quickly do Bryce functions(remember the middle mouse button isn't even used in Bryce, unless you get a programable mouse, or tech). Programmable Tablets work also. Its a good time saver.
Thread: Possible Bryce render? | Forum: Bryce
I think I read that Bryce was used as the rendering program w/3D Xplor Math. Plus DXF, POVray, LW can be used as formats...

For faster render times...
Tip #2: Don't use the Visible Object under Renders Options in the light lab with soft shadows. Fake a small sphere and use transparency for the light(or light bulb). Your soft shadows will look fine and your render times will be cut by 500% or more.
Tip #3: --->B5.5 only. Run a small MP3 program or similiar small program active in the background while using Bryce. Most systems with little or no background programs running, will see their CPU usage go from 80% or so to 98% for Bryce (I used task manager and render tests to confirm), decreasing render times. Bryce 5.5 was setup with room in mind to allow other programs to run in background. And for OS reasons or Bryce code,... Bryce will get more CPU time(don't use the priority in task manager, it is not the same).
Thread: Bryce 5.5 Lightning 2.0, network render application... | Forum: Bryce
OK then..., jugding by the views, I guess not alot of Brycers know of, or use this network render helper application. I know B6 will have dual support, but just imagine a network with two computers with dual CPU's. Its almost like a quad setup if this application does the workload the way I think it does. I will go ahead and setup my other computer anyways and run some heavy rendering tests. If Bryce ever did GI or Radiosity (or the new HDRI use in B6) etc... then you would definately need a network, the way the Bryce code is now. Just try and render a visible light object with soft shadows and watch Bryce nearly explode trying to render.

Tip:Using the Plop render when checking lighting of a scene or model details is your best time saver. For some reason I don't see many new to Bryce, use this, but thats just me.
Thread: HDRI... What the hell does it really mean ? | Forum: Bryce
They should really have this in the Graphic Dictionary here(along with alot of other missed terms). It takes awhile to search on some of these terms because people use them in different ways of expression for graphics.
Thread: 32 and 64 bit question. | Forum: Vue
I have Windows XP Pro x64-bit now, and It looks like they will only have 32-bit(as said above) for Vue 6 Easel on the Web site. But aren't the lower versions just cut down feature wise from the top versions in a way? And if so, why not a 64-bit version for them? Is the code that different?
btw..Im new to Vue if ya can tell(former Brycer). I had Vue 5 Easel in my hands today and almost picked it up, if it weren't for hearing about V6. :)
