Aiko 3  Realistic?  She can be pretty cute...  lots of nice A3 Realistic characters out there too!!!  Size wise (compared to David) she's your best bet in my opinion!!

I cant even see the boots being the same...  the hat is of the same style but can no way tell if it's the same mesh...  I'm inclined to think it was 100% Dreamworks models in the commercial...

Just watched the commercial (on youtube) and it looks pretty much like the exact model Dreamworks used when making the movie...  especially at the end part with Shrek...  I don't see the resemblence of the Daz model at all...

I love my DS!!!!!!  I have a 20 minute bus ride then a 35 minute train ride to get to work (then repeated backwards to get home) and I would DIE without my DS on the trip!!! 

p.s.  I voted "high end" as I have MAX8 and have rendered Poser characters in it but mainly use Carrara 5.1 Pro for Poser renders and IMHO it's pretty high end quality wise for me!!!

Well for product innovation I'd add Stonemason, PhilC, face_off, ockham (though he doesn't charge for his python genius!) ...  for sharing their wealth of knowledge and just plain helpfulness I'd have to say the good Dr Geep, Acadia, bagginsbill, again ockham, maxxxmodels, opera guy, pjz99 (though newish poster a very helpful member) hmmm...  I know there's so many more... I often look for the above posters when scanning the topics and more often than not find a fount of useful Poser information...

Roger Zelazny's Chronicles of Amber, Piers Anthony's Xanth series (only the earlier ones IMHO) come to mind...  there's so much wonderful fiction that would be best suited to being brought to life via CGI...  things of a fantastic / fantasy nature that either wouldn't be able to be pulled of using traditional (live action) film making or the things of the fantastic / fantasy nature that may not mesh well with live action (real actors) etc.  Granted there have been many instances of CGI & live action being used together (Gollum in LOTR) but sometimes a complete one or the other would be good.  CGI for filmaking is fantastic as an artist can completely create the world for the film and not have to fall into the conventions of the real world ( physical set design and manufacturing etc) so I personally would love to see some ALL CGI films, tv whatever regardless of whether they're aimed at children (see the Shrek thread from last week) or at older audiences (Final Fantasy VII Advent Children) or whatever comes up!

Are you talking about Wyrmmasters Penelope Pixling??  If so, the body is chock full of Poser magnets (specifically the upper frontal female attributes in which Wyrmmaster is famous for enlarging!) which D|S is not compatable with.  If it's a different character then I got nothing!!

That's baloney!!  CGTalk is on par with 3DBuzz when it comes to Poser bashing...  it's lightened up little bit as it seems someone affiliated with Poser advertises there bit it's still all pretty much the same but just not as blatant bashing as it is belittling condecention hidden behind lightly veiled contructive criticism...

If it only has P4 & PP, I use PP.  If there's a P5 I use that.  I absolutely hate using a P4 version of something and have my P6 hanging for a few minutes then a popup searching for a *.bum or something!

Oh yeah, beryld...  do you remember the Sculder & Mully binomes???  Definately not kids stuff, yet on a kids show...  even way back then they were still catering to the kiddies and still giving some giggles to the grown ups!!  These companies must know what they're soing or something!!
