I always used them but most people didn't seem to dial them in. I really wanted two or three layers of them for the proper depth.

That is animation though. Which the majority of people don't do.
Never had any issue with most stuff at DAZ.
Thread: Poser with Mac | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Dreaming of a reliable machine has been Mac for me. That is one reason I have used them. I have little problem booting up 15 year old macs that have been sitting for years. They run fine for years and I normally just replace them when they become too slow.
Thread: Poser with Mac | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I have been using a Mac and Poser since the original version. It works fine.
If you plan on doing content creation, there are a few things that you miss but you can also run those on a emulated partition if you really need them. Most times you would be able to get by without them.
One thing to know is regarding merging runtime folders. It can be a bit tricky on older versions of the OS because it replaces rather than merges. But you can get around that and it shouldn't be a problem with a new Mac.
Again, most issues would be only if you wanted to make content but if you just want to use stuff, 97% of stuff will work OK. This is true at Rendo, RDNA, DAZ, etc.

Thanks, I am really not seeing much of a change so maybe I am cached or something. Thanks for the responses.

I am quite curious what people think are the issues with the forums. I am not noticing much difference and I have been coming here daily for quite a few years.

The whole scaling thing is because Poser changed the scaling size a number versions back and many people didn't want to redo a ton of content so went with the old scale.
Thread: Problems downloading two files | Forum: MarketPlace Customers
That was one of the files that did not work. I tried the singly, as you said but then I used another free utility called Zipeg that unzipped those two files fine. Thanks
Thread: which poser version was the most FUN? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I think the most fun was had with Poser 7 for me. I have had all of the versions from Poser 1 and I think the most fun was had in Poser 7. I failed to get the Poser 7 Pro and that could have been fun. The more recents versions have some good features but the library and layout take away a lot of my fun and speed.
Thread: Head models | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Possibly. I have used some of the Smith Micro figures (Kelvin and such) as head donors in illustrations I have done. They had good expressions and head but the bending normally left a lot to be desired so I would take parts and use them since I couldn't really use the whole figure.
Thread: Why do conforming cloths rule ? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Dynamic clothes produce better results ... Sometimes. But they give up that with the fact that they are difficult to use, really difficult to use if you want more than one item in a scene and often produce useless piles of mesh.
Conforming aren't as good but they are more reliable and don't take as much time. They can aldo be used in multiple programs.
