Daz has some maxim heavy machine guns ..versions of theseย were pretty well used by the russians in WW2. . And I'm surprised no-one has mentioned the Browning .50ย cal that is part of the add-ins that come with P7 ?
Personally - what I'd like to see is a good old-fashioned Gatling gun ??

I've never had a problem with the CD only option. They have always been prompt..even seeing I'm from Down Under. Tops marks to them for products, and service, both :)
Thread: Universal Pose utility ?? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
"I've not played with the universal pose option in P7. I thought that was only applicable to the human, bipedal figures, not quadrapeds ??

Thank you folks..that was what I was looking for. . Now to figure if I can afford it, and if I can make a work-around for P7. I guess I could still use it in p5..save the output pose, then use it in P7 ??

I'd say figure as well. This is a great piece of work..either way. I'll sure be looking out for it. Ahh..one question - will there be an 'anti-tank'ย version with ย with some of the crew protection shields that I've seen in photo's ?
Thread: Best Destrier? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
If you're looking for a 'typical' medieval destrier - you need a horse of a similatr configuration to the Freisan. They are "semi-heavy" horses, designed to carry a Knight in armour into battle..and JUST that. They weren't your everyday riding animal..for that one used a 'palfry'. The Destrier was normally reserved purely for combat..Even when riding TO the battle, the palfry was used. When the middle ages finished, the breeders of destriers went looking for something for their stock to do. Around the same time, there was a growing demand for hevier animals for transport and farm work..so the breeders worked to 'beef up' the various destrier breeds..most of our current 'Draft' breeeds date from around this period.ย To my mind, Bloodsongs horse is great..but as a draft breed. I'd vote for the Charger as a very viable option for the Destrier. Plus, if you're a Daz Platinum Club member, you can get him for $1.99
Thread: Where to get "Chakat"? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
It's a fun figure to play with. But, if you start using any of the MilBigCat pose sets - make sure you read the notes that come with the chakat. With six limbs, without editing the pose files..you can get some very odd results :)
Thread: To get GOOD POSER RENDERS must i know PHOTOGRAPHY? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
It's not good enough to just look at picures. We all do that, all the time. What one has to to is learn to SEE. To See the parts that makes an impact..to see the things that dont..like (in photos) telephone poles growing out of peoples heads, etc. Obviously. in Poser we don't have the same sort of problem, but we have similar..stuff like characters feet not being 'quite' on the ground., shadows 'wrong'. That sort of thing Knowing something of Photograpy, etc will all help you to SEE your poser work..and to pick up on little mistakes that can make or break a render
Thread: Looking for castle model with one detail.... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Another couple of use of the glacis at the foot of the wall were..makes wall effectively thicker at vulnerable base..makes it harder to use battering rams (they glance away)...any rocks, etc dropped from above will glance out into any troops near walls. All in all, they were a useful, relatively cheap method of adding extra protection at vulnerable spot.
ย
Usually (in mid-to later medieval periods) they were stone faced faced butresses extending out from the base of castle walls..roughly at about 30-45 degrees. I think. in earlier periods, they they could be simply earthern walls..covered with thorn bushes and other nasties.

Don't hold your breath..it won't last :( It's the devious and obscure things that are the bread and butter to lawyers..they aren't going to let 'simple' and 'obvious' things get by. Why..if the law were simple and obvious, we wouldn't NEED lawyers, would we ?? :(

I'm an Aussie, and I've gotten stuff from vista with no problems, or excess costs. They have always been prompt and reliable. I've gotten my stuff usually within a week of ordering..jusst chose your ordering time..order early in the week, not the weekend, and usually you'll get it within the week.. I should imagine Canada would be even quicker ?
